Last week, I spoke on a panel at the European Parliament in Brussels; “The Internet Left: Progressive Politics in the Digital Age”.
Nice thoughts, giving talking points to the EU about how they should nationalise American owned platforms seems a bit funny, the route of FOSS and funding alternatives as the EU are currently doing seems more feasible. Maybe a utopian America can nationalise instagram but for the rest of us we must resist and create new spaces.
