As everyone who follows me knows, this sim right here  ⇊

who looks like he’s contemplating how best to get you out of your knickers (because he is, as my game can attest), is Felix Aldrich and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Some facts!

1. He’s left handed because I am and I make the rules.

2. He’s a genius and knows it and makes sure everyone else knows it too.

3. He’s a time traveler, but it’s kind of a continuous surprise for him because his memory gets forked with every time he travels.

4. He is an incredible father, even to children he didn’t directly have a hand in producing (except for his first daughter, Khloe, and I will never understand that).

5.  He very rarely (if ever) sleeps.

Look, I’m a person who lives on disastrous stories. You’d be hard-pressed to find a time where my characters aren’t miserable and harder-pressed to find a time when I’m not cracking jokes about it. It’s not easy to construct a relationship so horrifically toxic that I beg the author to make it stop.

Which is what @donaeis​ managed to do with Remi (unintelligible, mumbled last name) and Victoria “Tori” Hoyt.

If you love hot-garbage characters, you’ll love the burning trash heap that is Remi. He’s a man of the hypothalamus, which is to say his hobbies are:     - murdering people,     - making babies, and     - whining. Go to any later post in Pariah and you’ll see @donaeis​ asking the classic Hugonian question “can this man redeem himself?” and me in the comments saying “lmao, no, this mofo’s too far gone.”

Tori’s somehow worse.

For context, Death is one of Remi’s exes, but as soon as Remi laid his crazy bug-eyes on Tori, there was no competition for the story’s worst relationship (One False Pairing? OFP?). He was starting to transition from murder to whining before Tori vampire-fied him and got him back on track with the original murder plan.

Tori is abusive, controlling, and flings around her serial-killer partner like a ragdoll. The beginning of their relationship is a contest to see who’s the worst person---and Tori’s winning. Handily. She starts the relationship by manipulating Remi with her vampiric powers and forces him to do her dirty work. You almost feel bad for a character with no redeeming qualities.

But the real magic is how Remi and Tori, as a couple, are a whole lot more awful than the sum of their parts: the shitstorm they create taints the lives of everyone they meet and curses their descendants generations in advance. Halfway through Pariah, you realize their victims got off easy. You’ll put a chair through the wall screaming at these guys to stay on separate continents. Planets, if possible.

Don’t worry. Remi eventually stopped killing people and started whining full-time.

I had a bit of a hard time choosing a sim but ultimately decided to follow what this says and pick my favourite one. Besides, he’s one of the characters I can still say new things about (rather than repeating the same old facts over and over again in different forms, which is what I feel like I’m doing with my nsb sims haha)

Also, this is an old picture from like 2018 but I wanted to use it again. The editing is new though.

I’ve never said much about Tyler’s band, have I? They call themselves Rosie and no, it wasn’t his idea. He was actually strictly against it but his bandmates didn’t accept anything else. I have a reason for why they insisted on that but that’s a story for another day.

He’s the songwriter behind most of their songs. He talks like an idiot usually, but when he puts his soul in it, the way he expresses himself is brilliant. He writes good poems too, but he never shows anyone because he’s convinced they’d find it lame. They’re often kind of like a diary put into verses. It’s vulnerable…and they often show how he really feels behind all the goofiness and pretending to be so careless. 

This might be clear from how I’ve been sometimes styling him in the past year or so, but I’ve never directly said anything about it. In his early 20s, he got fed up with the idea that some things are considered “feminine” and some “masculine” and decided to experiment with that a little - really, just a little, he tried some things that he was always lowkey interested in trying. That’s how nail polish, chokers, crop tops and some makeup found way into his life. Maybe some glitter on the stage. And before you ask, no, Sharon doesn’t mind, she doesn’t find it weird, in fact she loves it and fully supports it.

Speaking of which, sometimes when they’re up all night, they like to watch insanely difficult makeup tutorials and then try to do each other’s makeup. They love it.

Believe it or not, high school Tyler is quite insecure and uncomfortable with himself and he hides it behind a mask of being mean and pretending to be Twinbrook High’s Next Edgy Sarcastic Bad Boy™. It’s mostly fake confidence he’s showing, but through the story (and especially in the post-high school arc that’s currently a wip), the confidence becomes real, while he also drops his borderline mean behavior (keeping only the jokes and sarcasm because guess what, you can be funny without seriously hurting people - it took him a while to get it).

💬  When did my muse go on their first date?Kenzie had her first date in eighth grade, when an adorkable guy in her English class asked her out to a movie. They went on about 4 dates total - and did a lot of kissing practice on each other - before each developing crushes on someone else and agreeing to separate. (She’s still social-media friends with him.)

👍 Does my muse prefer to be asked on a date, or would they rather do the asking?She has been the one to ask a few times, but I’d say she’s probably 75% “prefer to be asked.” (She’s Outgoing, not Self-Assured lol)

I FEEL YOU. Also introvert here. Also realize I am privileged to still have a job. But I am really liking staying at home ngl

Please, please enjoy your alone at home time for me. The only thing I can do at this point is be happy for like-minded people and keep hoping for myself.

I feel the same way completely. I’m from WV, & we just got a stay at home order from the the governor today. I totally understand your anxiety. Don’t be afraid to vent on here hun; we’re all going through this together! ❤️

Hey, we’re neighbors! Pennsylvania here *waves* Apparently law enforcement is preparing for a stay at home order for the midstate, which is where I live, and there are also rumors that the stay at home order will go for the whole state soon. Reading further into it though, I still doubt it will affect me. I just hate when catastrophic wording such as ‘people will only be allowed to leave their homes if staying at home endangers a life’ because it gets my hopes up. Once again, I get grocery workers, pharmacies, and medical facilities. But in the age of ATMs, mobile check deposits, credit cards, and online banking, I fail to see how me physically handing out money to people is saving lives. I feel like it is endangering more people, including myself, than saving them. I don’t feel safe going to work every day, but there is literally nothing I can do and that’s what frustrates me. :(
