The Last Day of Vacation
The following is a letter I wrote to myself on the last day of vacation. It may read as a diary entry. I wrote it as a diary entry. So many things went wrong, but so many other things went right. I hope you enjoy what you read, when you read it.

Dear Me,
Today is our last FULL day in the DR (The Dominican Republic is the proper way to say it so "the" in front of DR is respectable). So much has occurred that I didn't document became my phone crapped out. This might've been for the best. Here are some bullet points.
Parasailing
Snorkeling
Saw dolphins - didn't touch
Ate entirely TOO much:
Mexican
Steak House (2 x's)
French
Italian
Hibachi, Japanese (tonight)
Buffet, food
Alcohol (in abundance)
Isla Saona (BLAH)
2 Natural Pools
Pools Galore
Smoked Cigarettes
Tanned
Got Burnt
I feel like I'm missing some. As I remember, I'll document.
The saddest part...I've missed some people back home. I'm on a beautiful island, thousands of miles from home and I've been sad.
Mind you, I'll have to return to the life I had before I got here and pretend I'm ok. I've gotten pretty good at that, I guess. However, me, it's time I let go. For real, this time. I'm tired of pretending I'm ok when in reality, I'm not.
Me! Don't rush. I'm not in a rush so you should be either. Take life, day by day. Enjoy it! Live it!
Cry, if you must. Laugh, often. Sleep, when you're tired. Make love to those who love you. Take ALL the pictures. Post some. Hug your friends. Love on your family. Let go of hurt and people who hurt you. ALL lessons I've learned here.
Most importantly, do the scary thing. It sounds weird but DO IT! Never limit yourself into believing you can't. When something is your heart, DO IT! It might be the single most amazing leap.
Me! I'm going to be on us. We will be find. We will take the leaps and bet on us. The joy isn't found in the end result, it's in the doing.
I'm making a promise to use TODAY! WE are going to do the scary things. We are going to take leaps of faith. We are going to love us better, harder and fiercer than ever. Our inner child is going to laugh with her full heart and jump in the puddles and dance in the light.
This is the promise we make to each other.
Me, my hope is we heal from what hurt us and turn our back on what doesn't suit us. Let go of the negativity me. We've lived in it way too long. It has kept you safe, but it hasn't helped your adventurous side.
It's time for the other side of you to show her face. People may not recognize her. They may not like her. They may even try to stomp her down. Don't let the people who don't understand, try to make you into she who you were before.
DON'T LET THEM!
Life is meant to be lived.
Next stamp on my passport...I guess you'll have to wait and see (Fingers Crossed)
XOXO
Thanks for reading.
