✔: A plot you would love to play out with your character
Mary x Bothwell. I’d kill for the chance to explore Mary x Bothwell. Cause there’s so many different readings of what happened between the two and how it started and so many details that then snowball one way or another. The way certain things end up being viewed depends so much on what actually happened between the both of them. It’s something that it’s the one relationship in Mary’s life that changes the most with the different adaptions.
♔: A character (in general) that you’d like to interact with
I shouldn’t say Bothwell again… James VI. Honestly, I’d just love to interact with everyone who’s a part of Mary’s life in Scotland, Maitland, Knox, Moray, Riccio, the Marys, Elizabeth, etc. But then there’s Marie de Guise, James V and Elisabeth and ugh, literally everyone in her life. Also, I would be majorly interested in wrapping the timeline a bit for the sake of interactions with Anne Boleyn.
☮: Something you’re confident about with your writing
That’s hard… I generally do like my writing, but that doesn’t necessarily mean being proud of it, cause I also know there’s a lot that I need to work out. And I’m trying to work on those details, being better about describing surroundings, about not being so caught up in my character’s mind and move them around and learn when to let go and how to break. Because sometimes I’m so reluctant to do a paragraph and instead try to just keep with that train of thought and I should let go. But I do think I’m good about getting into a character’s mind? Mary is particularly a challenge with that and why I wanted to give her a try, cause I’m trying to draw from a handful of mediums and try to make her still be Mary who could’ve written the casket letters or not and could’ve loved Bothwell or not.
