The geodesic dome owners, Kathrin and Brian Smirke, put loving and thoughtful touches throughout the home. There was a side table out of driftwood destined for firewood, ‘stained glass’ decal designs on the windows (which made beautiful floor drawings with the sun), and a DIY macrame swinging chair. 

My favorite feature was the meditation loft at the top of the dome. Most people would have used it for storage space, but this space was piled full of beautiful blankets and pillows. They were perfect to doze on while looking at the sky through the dome’s skylights.
