High-pitched laughter emerged from the gigantic, overgrown tree that seemed to consume the center of Domino city.

Swarms of insects, large and small in size, covered both the sky and the ground in patches, as inhabitants of the city ran in terror; some keeping shelter in moss and plant-covered buildings while others tried to escape in cars and trucks.

"Ehye-hye-hye-hye-hye! Subarashii~!! I never knew this could be so damn easy!" Haga mused from his throne room, blue eyes closed in glee as the screams from both humans and cicada entered his ears.

Dark Times Verse(because Ryuzaki is 15 is doesn’t even know what it means to be romantically attracted to someone.)  

“So…” the bartender started, trying to converse with his most loyal/depressing patron, “…ever been in love, or, you know, done anything romantic with someone?”

Tonight was the night he’d planned to admit his feelings to Haga. Ryuzaki had called Haga out to a park where they’d hung out several times before. He’d thought about this for a long time, fought his own sexuality and feelings for Haga for months, but tonight, he was no longer fighting it. As soon Haga approached, Ryuzaki felt his heartbeat quicken, and began to question whether or not this was a good idea. However, as soon as Haga grew near, Ryuzaki could no longer hold it in.

He stammered at first, his confidence waning under Haga’s gaze, but he quickly grew too emotional to continue to stutter. He poured his heart out to Haga, speaking of his constant need, not want, need to protect Haga from those who sought to hurt and speak ill of him. How he always had a weird feeling around Haga, that had started a month after he’d met him. How Ryuzaki had fought himself about his own sexuality, because of Haga. How he could no longer deny longer deny it, nor his feelings for the bug duelist. By the end of his rant/speech, Ryuzaki noticed that he’d started to cry near the end. The dino duelist smiled, laughing as he wiped his tears away“Betcha never expected to see me like this, eh Haga? …Haga?”

At the silence Ryuzaki looked to Haga, relieved to see the expected bewildered look on Haga’s face. His heart dropped, however, when Haga’s confused expression, turned to a look of disgust…

The first time he used magic was a long, long time ago. He would never be able to recall the memory on its own.

Five years old, on the ground. The coppery taste of blood in his mouth, a small circle of children standing above him. They were a few grades above him, and as far as Yugi was concerned, the worst people on earth. One kid, name long forgotten, grinned at another, and aimed a kick at Yugi’s head. He just wanted them to go away. He wanted them to hurt too, for doing this to him every day. But there was nothing he could do, he was a fat loser. The kick hit him, and Yugi blacked out.

Atem had loved that it was starting to warm up, the snow beginning to melt. It was warm enough now, with the sun shining, she decided to bundle Naimah up and go for a walk. There was a park that was not too far away, and her little one did like toddling around, attempting to pick up clumps of snow or twigs with her mittened hands.

She smiled, watching her babble and make a little snow mound as she sipped her tea. Lifting her eyes, she looked up at the clear sky for a moment, taking a deep breath of the crisp air. But when she brought her gaze back down, she saw a face she had seen in her nightmares and for a moment she just froze, eyes widening.
