On again and off again/situationship Rabbot. They love each other but Jack was messed up when he came back and he pushed Robby away even knowing it would mess the man up. By the time he came to his senses Robby moved on briefly with Collins and then Janey. A Jack that knows the type of person Robby is and the needs he has who still loves him. Meanwhile Robby thinks he's at fault for Jack not wanting him, that he's unlovable even though it's all he wants. It isn't until that day on the roof where more words are exchanged and Robby breaks down to Jack, tells him what he thinks.
Jack who is horrified to realize that all this time Robby has been blaming himself and that isn't what the fuck he wanted. He knows he has to handle this extremely carefully, can see Robby is going to fucking need to be taken care of and so he drags him into a hug, tells him he was the one that was fucked up and that fucked them up, that Robby didn't do anything wrong. Jack can feel the way Robby starts to melt and it's enough to reassure him but he needs to get the man to one of their places asap.
They still go for beers but quickly they leave and Jack wants Robby comfortable so he drags him to Robby's place. The minute they step through the door Robby is sobbing and then collapsing to his knees for Jack, which fuck this isn't the way he wanted this to go, he wanted to coax him into sleeping and talk tomorrow. Jack doesn't realize he says that out loud until Robby is mumbling to him:
Which fuck if that doesn't drive something into Jack about how much he fucked up but they are here now and Robby needs him and he's not letting him go again. He carefully coaxes Robby into eating and showering, has to feed him and practically has to hold him in the shower but he makes a vow to never let this go again. The next day they talk, Robby constantly sinking to his knees and wanting to lay his head in Jack's lap listens as Jack explains why they broke up and cries as he realizes he wasn't the one at fault but as long as he's Jack's he doesn't care. Jack who hates himself but vows that he's not letting Robby go again.
Quickly it's obvious something is going on, Robby is once again himself, he is eating, he's laughing and he's overall how he was before Adamson died and Jack left him with the occasional issues. Dana of course knows (queen knows all and she's Robby's best friend) and soon others find out. Robby who basically doesn't give a shit anymore dropping to his knees for Jack after an extremely bad case that causes him to have an anxiety attack, Jack who glares daring anyone to comment as he runs his hands through Robby's hair and tries to get him out of subdrop because the moment he went to his knees he was down. Dana threatening to cut anyone who says shit before congratulating them and shoving everyone out.
