Our thoughts are with Sam's family, friends, and teammates.
Where is the celebrity face of LDN? Â Oh, sorry, we have no money.
How did this begin today... I was looking for information about an inhaler one of my kids was prescribed for exercise induced asthma ( I know...) Proair made by TEVA Pharmaceuticals. Â
Just a few paragraphs in on the factsheet TEVA states, "Once a medicine has been approved for marketing for a certain use, experience may show that it is also useful for other medical problems. Although these uses are not included in product labeling, [albuterol] is used in certain patients with the following medical condition:  Hyperkalemia (too much potassium in the blood)." ~i.e. âoff label useâ of Proair
One argument we hear against LDN is, âitâs off label,â but that criticism doesnât apply to patented drugs?Â
While I was enjoying the hypocrisy of Proair off label vs. LDN off label I came across the You Donât Know Jack About MS, which made me angry because LDN has great success with MS, and ultimately led me back to the disappointing news that Demi Lovato also partnered with bigPharma.
I am having trouble swallowing pharmaceutical sponsored celebrity causes, when the corporations know damn well low dose naltrexone does everything their expensive patented drugs do, but better as LDN works to strengthen the immune system vs. having been designed to destroy disease. Â
Jack Osbourne + MS = TEVA Pharmaceuticals
 http://www.youdontknowjackaboutms.com/about-ms/ms-myths-and-facts
Sidenote: Â TEVA was the US manufacturer of Revia, ie. Naltrexone, in 2010 under their subsidiary Barr Laboratories. Â It is the FDA approved drug which has to be compounded to make low dose naltrexone or LDN. Â Have they suggested LDN to you Jack~being off label should not be an issue for TEVA, as shown above with their Proair product.
Another Sidenote:  The game âyou donât know Jackâ was once a family favorite.
Demi Lovato + bipolar = Sunoviun Pharmaceuticals
http://bevocalspeakup.com/
Sidenote: Â From bipolar diagnosed to another, Demi, their drugs are very much not the solution. Â I am sorry. Â You have a wonderful message, I canât get behind it because Sunoviun paid for it :( Â PS. Â bipolar should be a rare illness, but now even WebMD claims that is a myth, it will get darker still...

Immunotherapy + Big$$$ = Bristol Meyers Squibb June 1st announcement!

There is one celebrity movement I can get behind right now, LOVE IS LOUDER created by Brittany Snow. Â

Bullying.
Me: "How are things at school Bear?"
Bear: "Okay."
Me: "So, I have been trying to figure out how to deal with people that I see bullying, how do you handle that stuff right now?"
Bear: "Well, someone was mocking me today and I got pretty mad."
Me: "Okay, so how did you handle it?"
Bear: "I kicked him and had to go to the office."
Me: "Huh."
Maybe we have some work to do on dealing with bullies, I am pretty sure I cannot go around kicking people, nor should my kids.
Cute pic from Big O

Hey there. So, Iâm on a Junior Roller Derby team, and recently.... We've lost one of our own. Casper... Their name was Casper... They played on Darlings of Destruction, a Junior League team in Detroit Michigan. They were starting to struggle with their gender identity. Going through transition, and struggling with acceptance. But that doesn't matter anymore. Because theyâre dead. They killed themselves, and now, thereâs another life lost. Another life with the most amazing potential to be someone... just... Gone. iâm sick of this. Iâm done. Too many times this has happened-Transgender people resorting to suicide because of a lack of acceptance, or a lack of support, or a lack of love for themselves, a lack of things ever human needs to feel alive and loved and want to live, but they didn't get enough and Iâm sick of it. Iâm sick of loosing people.Â
Casper was being bullied. As if her own internal turmoil wasn't enough-Casper was getting bullied for who they were. We lost Leelah, we lost Ash, we lost aubrey, we lost Kayla, weâve lost so many. Weâve lost more than we can count. And Iâm sick of it. Iâm sick of people treating people like shit. Of people abusing and bullying and rejecting people because of who they are. Because of what they are. This was a young girl going through a gender crisis. And she didnât get enough support, and now... Now sheâs gone. weâve lost an amzing person. A fantastic skater. Casper was gonna go places. And now everything they ever worked for... Is gone.Â
Trans people are still people. Youâre a piece of shit if you think otherwise. It doesn't matter who they are, you treat them like youâd treat any other stranger, any other fiend, any other loved one. You treat them like a person. You make them know that they are loved and important and most of all, they are a person who deserves all the support in the world. Support them. They need it.Â
The Darlings of Destruction have a bout this weekend, and are playing their best for Casper, win or loose. So, weâre wearing teal this weekend. To remember Casper. to remember who they were. To remember the good they did while they were around, and to remember this phenomenal young player. Derby people all over, even non-derby-players:Show your support for Casper. Show your support for everyone and anyone like Casper. Casper didn't get enough love while they were around. So make sure that people like them do, while youâve still got the chance. stand up for trans teens, make a difference. We lost Casper. We donât wanna loose anyone else. Â
Forever in our hearts, we will remember you. All my love to Sam #57 and the rest of the Darlings of Destruction Junior Derby League. There are no words that make a loss such as this acceptable. Whoever you are, reading this, know that you are loved. Find what makes you happy and cling to it! Life is so very precious, spread the goodness and put an end to intolerance. Let's continue to love and support each other, always.

This weekend, skaters and officials wore turquoise to raise awareness for suicide prevention, especially among trans teens, and to honor the memory of Casper, a skater for Darlings of Destruction Junior Derby. If you or someone you know is struggling, call 800-273-TALK. #doitfor57
