Pros:
+ variety of dog types/breeds
+ dogs come with individual strengths/weaknesses
+ dog sled races and rankings
+ breeding your best to the best to make the best
+ dog booties
+ a never ending game
Cons:
- 2D side scrolling pixel game
- no environmental exploration
- not a survival game
- don’t need to feed your dogs :(
- it’s ONLY races and race prep
- doesn’t really have a story
The Red Lantern
Pros:
+ variety of dog types/breeds
+ dogs come with individual strengths/weaknesses
+ dogs come with backstories!!! you bond with them!
+ you can pat the dogs
+ beautiful graphics and narration simply gorgeous
+ survival don’t starve!
+ gotta feed and water your dogs
+ dog booties
Cons:
- single POV only
- can’t control the sled
- no environmental exploration
- kinda expensive
- ends quickly :(
Arctico (formerly Eternal Winter)
Pros:
+ you can control the sled
+ nice minimal indie aesthetic
+ open world exploration
+ first person and third person views
+ survival don’t starve!
+ gotta feed and water your dogs
+ you can build the dogs a heated kennel
+ can play with a friend
+ a never ending game
Cons:
- no dog type or breed variety
- no dog strength/weaknesses/backstories/personalities
- minimal tutorial
- no dog booties
- kinda empty but it IS the arctic
tldr: they’re all good games brent
