Reno has been blaming the heat for the sweat that’s dripping down his forehead. An arm reached up to dry it before he shifts to fix his jacket. He’d been sick for the last few days. Not once did he tell anyone. Self-medicating had worked the first day but after a couple more it came back tenfold.

How he’d been holding himself together was a mystery. What he did know, however, was that if he kept himself out of doing office work, no one would notice. So there he was leaning against the wall, eyes glancing around as he surveyed the area. The mark should be here at any moment. A quick glance at his watch told him he had to wait at least another couple of minutes.

“Fuck it's hot.” It wasn’t that hot. Warm, but not enough for the degree at which he was complaining. He could only unbutton his shirt and jacket so much before it became unprofessional. And gods forbid Tseng finding out about that. Then everyone would know there was something medically wrong with him and that was just . . .

Reno was leaning against the counter, knife in one hand, apple in the other. There was a phone conversation happening in the next room. Voices had been hushed for a majority of it. But at one point it had gotten heated and he was pretty sure he heard his Boss shout. When he came back a few moments later, there was an air of irritation about him.

“Apple?” The slice lay against the blade as he offered it. A hand shoved it back towards him and he shrugged, shoving it into his own mouth.”Your loss.”

A silence began to build between them as the blond moved about the kitchen. There had been mention of making dinner before the phone call. The redhead assumed the same thing would take place afterward. But judging by the lack of actual supplies or ingredients being pulled out, the Turk was starting to realize it might be delayed.

“You wanna ta- . . .” And then the man whipped around to look at him and the Turk flinched a little bit.

“The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.”

With absolutely no idea as to what had been said or what was even going through the other’s mind in that moment, all Reno could do is shrug. Several dumbass retorts were swallowed and his brain kicked into overdrive to think of something that wouldn’t result in a knife wound.

Favorite Musician: I don’t know that I have one specifically. Once upon a time, maybe. But now its a toss up.

Last Movie I Watched: Overlord

Last TV Show I Watched: Either Law & Order or Forensic Files. I never watch anything else.

Favorite Character: From my current fandom? Definitely Reno.

Sweet, spicy or savory: Probably savory to be honest.

Sparkling water, tea or coffee: None of the above. I know what none of those are. Soda (mainly Coke) is what I drink the most.

Pets?: My big ol’ pupper Marley. Then sometimes my grandparents dog Bub
