where he’s so afraid of his father, of himself, of letting ANYONE in post-accident that he lashes out at jiwon and forces her out…

vs jiwon in episode 11.

where she has seen who hyunsoo really is, how damaged he is, and doesn’t care. but she has to push him away because she’s terrified of losing him.

they’re both so Damaged by the village murder case. hyunsoo by the before and jiwon by the after. but neither of them are allowed to process it with each other, not yet. because one has to play the part of a murderer and the other the detective catching him. it’s just AUGHHH

because hyunsoo doesn’t want anything but jiwon in this moment. he almost Died and just wanted to go home to his wife and fix ts but then she shows up and she’s an exact reflection of how he was before he knew how to love. even if he doesn’t know that it’s love in that moment.

and no, hyunsoo has not stopped pushing jiwon away. he regresses. and it hurts him so much because jiwon here is the reflection of what he feared she would become: another face who wants him gone.

but it’s for safety. he knows that deep down. because he was the same way.
