Doc Headcanons: Holiday Seasons

Warnings: anxiety, just fluff tbh c:

♡ The holidays were usually something that Gustave tended to enjoy.

♡ He would usually be lucky enough to not be deployed, so he’d get to spend his time with his family.

♡ This year however, it would be the first time he would be inviting you over to visit his family.

♡ You couldn’t even lie, you were very nervous. He reassured you constantly that his parents and any of his siblings were very kind.

♡ Gustave just told you that his father was a little strict, but not something that would ruin things for you.

♡ Even then, you were nervous. First impressions always lasted and you didn’t want to mess anything up.

♡ Just in case you’re even able to, Gustave will tell you what his family likes in the case you want to bring anything to dinner with them.

♡ He’ll recommend gifts for his family as well in the case that you wanted to buy them anything.

♡ He also obviously warned you that due to their wealth, you wouldn’t have to worry too much in those regards.

♡ Gustave helps you prepare the dish you wanted to bring, making sure you didn’t panic at all.

♡ “The pepper’s right next to you, mon cœur. Don’t stress yourself out so much,” he tells you as he kisses your cheek.

♡ Once the food is cooked, Gustave helps you figure out the attire you should wear if you want to impress them that much.

♡ He helps you as much as he can, still reminding you not to stress so damn much.

♡ Gustave even tells you that he’s told his family about you, making sure to have told them the highest of praises that he has for you on the drive there.

♡ Once you’re at his parent’s house, he lets you in first and introduces you to them both.

♡ Instantly, his mother is hugging you and giving you air kisses on both your cheeks.

♡ His father pulls you in for a handshake and a hug as well, greeting you warmly and being as nice as he could be.

♡ At dinner, you’re there helping them despite them telling you not to worry.

♡ Even Gustave is warmly chuckling behind you, seeing how you fluster at their kindness to you.

Am I the only one confused when writers give Doc a long tail?

Like, what is giving him that tail? From what I was aware of is that only 1 animal in his collection that has one: the Goat. Which is only a little puff of fur of a tail. Creepers don’t, neither does a Butterfly.

This one I’m reading right now gave him what I describe as a lion’s tail, long with a puff of fur on the end.

As a Tangotek enjoyer, we give him a long tail, I can sympathize, but a blaze is literally a head, smoke, and rods, right? A long tail fits the man, especially with his “Tango noises” he makes. I also just personally headcanon that he is actually multiple fire things at once but he never care enough to learn why he’s very different from his family, or somehow never noticed he was.

So, why does Doc have one? Does he have some secret fourth thing or do we just like the tails to have the ability to convey emotions and wrap around friends and lovers?

Doc - Doc sucks at saying tongue twisters. - Doc's least favourite subject in school was Gym. - Doc sings in the shower. - Doc forgets to eat sometimes. - Doc is in your house.

Pirate!Doc Headcanons

X reader of course contains: Fluff. Boats. Brief implication of violence

Being with Pirate!Doc would include:

Captain Doc of the SS. World Eater

The finest ship to sail the seas, what a beauty she is

She was Doc's first love, until you came along

You joined his crew just for the job

You stayed for the captain

You worked you way up the ranks all the way to firstmate

Granted Captain Doc was a little biased seeing how you captivated him

Eventually he did confess his feelings, rather suddenly on a stormy night. He was relieved to know you felt the same

From there Doc spent more time with you.

Your favourite memory is him teaching you how to navigate the seas using the sun and the stars

That's because he spent much of it standing behind you, hands on yours on the helm, guiding you gently

You're the only one he's gentle with, he is the captain of one of the most notorious ships there is

He's tough with his crew, he needs to be

With you he's calm and patient

The only time he's not is when the ship is threatened by another, even you have to follow the captains orders then.

After all without a ship you and Doc would have nowhere to go

And you're willing to fight for his baby

The SS. World Eater always has and always will be Doc's first love

You're a excellent writer.

◼ We know from Gustave's psych profile that he has deep self-doubt and even some self-loathing that stem from his privileged upbringing while others suffered.

◼ To him, he's the one who doesn't deserve you.

◼ The first time you voice your insecurity, he's floored; he can't imagine why you would (or could) ever feel that way,

◼ Gustave makes it very clear to you how important you are to him, and that his life would not be the same without you.

◼ There's a lot of bad in this world, and he wants you to know that you're one of the good things. He's seen death, held the hands of those taking their final breath. He's even taken lives.
