Dead Or Alive Dimensions: First Impression
On the Games front there were 2 major releases today and i have both: L.A. Noire (Xbox 360) and Dead or Alive Dimensions (3DS).
I dove straight into DOA for a number of reasons: Its easy to play a handheld on a bus and I love me some DOA - it's possibly one of my favorite series of fighters. So, how does this 3DS version look so far?  Quite bloody good really.  The game looks stunning, uses the 3D well, plays around with motion control a little (it uses the camera in the same way Steel Diver will), and has a wealth of modes.  The Story mode- called chronicle here - plays very similar to the story mode in Mortal Kombat; re-telling the history of the series. This is FANTASTIC, I loved it in MK and am enjoying it here.  A nice little touch is that while all the beautiful FMV in happening in 3D on the top screen, the bottom is display little facts about the series kinda like a text directors commentary.  If you have a 3DS this is the game you've been waiting for, any game that can keep me from checking out L.A. Noire for  2 hours has to be!
Speaking of L.A. Noire, I'm going to get my 'dick(short for Private Detective and not a go at Carolyn Petit) on for a bit
Just got booked for the next DOA tournament in Dallas // June. As of Today, Team Ninja THEMSELVES (the makers of the DOA franchise) are 100% confirmed to be at the tournament mingling, doing panel and getting on a personal level with any and all players in attendance-- even the head honcho Hayashi- San himself so if you want to link up with me or and of the game developers or even enter into the tournament... more details here
