Recently, Valentis visited a fortune teller. I know the "anchor" card doesn't exist in tarot, but I really liked this image: an anchor pulling him into the past, preventing him from moving forward.

An unpleasant dance
Our whole team decided to try drawing our DnD characters as different species. It was a very interesting experiment!
An impressive moment happened recently: Our wild magic sorcerer (@freeleaflixa ) rolled that legendary effect - a fireball centered on himself. It would have definitely ended in his death... But Valentis managed to cast counterspell just in time
Valentis and his lovely (adoptive) mother Allavia

Valentis has always been fearful of spells from the school of necromancy. He found them creepy and unpleasant. His friend, on the other hand, was a master of the school. Zurbak had tried to share his knowledge with Valentis, but the young wizard distanced himself from it. However, the training had become ingrained in his memory. And sometimes Valentis still uses these abilities that frighten him so much
Valentis and his (almost) student years. According to the lore, he studied magic to become a wizard at Candlekeep, which in D&D is a place where the world's best wizards gather, accumulate their knowledge, and can become mentors for young spellcasters. For some reason, I visualized all of this as a kind of Hogwarts-like school.
Minor spoilers. I hope to take the Summon Shadowspawn ability at the next level. Shadowspawn can be of three types: Fury, Despair, or Fear. I imagine it will be similar to Valentis' own shadow. Depending on the emotion, it will have different coloured lightning bolts running through it. In that picture, the shadow of fear, it's green.
