Thanks to corona i turned this
Into this:
A box for dice and minis and the top can be used for rolling.
Final product! I’m so glad this turned out so cute! My only regret is painting the foam and then having to wipe/wash the paint, but I still love it!
The printer also ruined the quality of the photo but I still love it, despite the small imperfections! 😁 Hope you guys got inspired by this tiny tutorial! Have a great day!
Of course I didn’t forget to post he plays part, because I was gaming. 😝 - Part 3 -
Part three is basically the finished product, after assembly and perhaps painting or decorating the box. BUT! I was really disappointed with the black foam, so I washed it and it’s back at it’s white-ish look. Will post the final product in a short video. It’s a one-day built but it was a lot of fun and I will definitely make more as gifts. 😁
Let’s get to the next steps! - Part 2 -
I dressed the inside of the metal box with felt, to make sure the dices won’t scratch the metal and get damaged as well.
But then I made a mistake. I painted the foam, which didn’t come out as I wanted it. But I tried it anyway, just to see how it looks like when the whole thing is black.

Like I mentioned in my story yesterday, I made he dnd dice case. Time for a small tutorial! - Part 1 -
First off, I placed my dice (I changed their position a few times). Then I had some foam from phone cases and packages that I kept, just in case I need it for a craft. I simply traced and cut the shapes with a blade onto two pieces.
Chapter 1.4, When Battle Finds Them
Grizz was attacked, instantly, by the blinding glare of the sun. Light-headed and dehydrated beyond belief, he just fell face-first from the cart in a dizzy stupor. Landing upon the dented remains of a man crushed by metal, Grizz found himself unable to decide whether or not to move. Eventually, he rolled over onto his back, and bathed in the sun's blinding glory. Snatching a bottle from the air itself, Grizz removed the cork and drowned himself in a sea of alcohol.
Still drinking, he rose to observe the battle raging about him. He released the bottle from his mouth, which dropped precariously towards the ground before vanishing as easily as it appeared. An armored soldier came before him:
“Hey, you! get back in there where it’s safe. We don’t want you to get hu-”
The man was propelled backwards many feet, and landed painfully in the dirt. With his left hand still extended from where he pushed the soldier, Grizz snatched the bottle and once again returned it to it’s rightful place, in between his lips. Raising his head to the sky, Grizz took a long, hands-free drink as he walked forward nonchalantly in the direction of the random person before him. The soldier rose and made to move forward, shouting his last words angrily:
“We are on trying to keep you s-”
Before Grizz’s bottle swung from his right hand, leaving an ark of liquid behind it, into the raged face of the man before him. The bottle shattered upon impact with the man’s skull, sending him flying from the force. The man was killed on impact, and the shattered remains of the bottle, and the alcoholic splatter that erupted forth from it, disappeared into non-existence.
Grizz turned to walk into the midst of the conflict, bottle in hand. He stepped upon the plated remains of the fallen soldier, and the metal crumpled under some hidden weight. The fighting was everywhere.
Chapter 1.3, When Battle Finds Them
Cevass shook the ashes from her wrist and was struck by the blinding light of the mid-morning sun. Her human eyes hardly adjusted to the light before she heard the metallic ping of a dagger glinting off solid plate. Turning in time to witness the spectacle of man versus machine, Cevass did not hesitate to retrieve the dagger at her feet.
Rising, dagger in hand, Cevass was met by an adversary from the opposite direction. With her back to the machine, she readied her blade in the anticipation of the combat to come. Her opponent was an archer, who upon seeing the crumpled corpse by her feet, decided to tread backwards and shoot from afar. Cevass sprinted headlong in an attempt to beat the man to the first strike. The thrum of a bowstring signaled her failure to act first, but the arrow’s path carried it harmlessly to her feet. In response to the archer, Cevass abandoned her dagger to the ground, and ushered forth enough flames to engulf her opponent in a sea of hot red. Her attack was successful, with the fire meeting its mark in full, but her dash forward left her exposed to the brunt of the battle. Archers picked off bandits left and right with sword and arrow, while bandits used quantity over quality to overwhelm even the most skilled of the guards. Surely the flames would burn high tonight.
