Guccifer 2.0 Claims to Have Hacked Clinton Foundation Itself
It seems the major revelations today are not going to come from Wikileaks or Julian Assange, but rather from the Romanian hacker Guccifer 2.0. In his latest post, he shows the hacked server files of the newly hacked Clinton Foundation.
Many of you have been waiting for this, some even asked me to do it.
So, this is the moment. I hacked the Clinton Foundation server and downloaded hundreds of thousands of docs and donors’ databases.
Hillary Clinton and her staff don’t even bother about the information security. It was just a matter of time to gain access to the Clinton Foundation server.
Among the more amusing revelations is a folder simply called “Pay to Play.”
Is the Clinton staff really dumb enough to label a folder “Play to Play” just like in the leaked emails? Apparently they are.
He also includes a list of “small donors” to the foundation. A cursory examination of the donor list shows that many of them have a significant on-line presence, either through Wikipedia pages or businesses they own. Guccifer 2.0 also posted a list of small donations from politicians and corporate donors.
Now here’s where things get interesting. The server also includes a listing of 94 big-bank donations to members of congress in one column, and the amount of money they received from TARP in the next column. The data is unclear, but it indicates there is a correlation. Does this not look shady as fuck?
Disclaimer time. The hack may not be legitimate and we may never know with any degree of certainty whether it is or not, but Guccifer 2.0 was (allegedly) the hacker who leaked the DNC emails to Wikileaks. Assuming this isn’t part of some complex CIA or DIA mindgame (always possible), this would seem to be legit.
