DNAD Evaluation
This brief definitely could've went better for many reasons. I definitely lacked experimentation throughout this and was too research-heavy because I wasn't too sure on what to do until the mid-point which meant I felt the time pressure to crack on and suddenly design something without exploring other avenues. But in a way this was good as it allowed me to educate myself and understand the topic at hand. And it allowed me to do a lot of contemporary research an look back at my sources for guidance when writing out text for both the app & social media side. I did do a lot of brainstorming of ideas which I simply didn't document as they were quick fleeting ideas with not enough backing. Next time I will try seek out help or try make up for time that was missed due to illness more. But I did try my best to try get back on track which I think started to improve towards the end unfortunately I was running out of time though.
I am happy with how this turned out I feel like it hit the brief of talking to those already engaged in the conversation while also reaching out to that new champion audience through offering them support. I feel the app speaks for itself in a way that it tries to reframe abortion as beneficial healthcare for all. If I were to go back though I'd definitely try to incorporate more of the benefits I displayed on the social media side in the application itself. The social media side of the campaign definitely needed to be highlighted more as a prominent feature seeing as that was what the brief was about. My presentation skills I feel were far better this time making something with a branded theme that ran across well.
I really did struggle with this brief so I'm just glad I ended up with something I feel is a good idea with a good brand.
I should've also done more research/shown evidence for the research I did near the end when I started to develop business cards and posters. Forgetting to do this at the end definitely held me back,
I would like to carry on practicing UI design as it seems like something I usually end up leaning into and maybe developing it more in the future.
March 10th - presentation finish
March 9th - presentation developing
Looking at this I have been struggling to narrow down the app to one page. I don't think it looks bad but I also don't think the way its displayed is as good as the previous presentation. I'm going to keep working on this to see if I can make it work
I carried on and tried adding white banners to each.
I feel like the second page ended up being successful but I think it became muddled and cluttered throughout so currently I'm unsure on how to lay it out. I think I will try again later to see if I can make it work but personally I prefer how it looked before.

March 8th - Business cards and poster development
Previously I tried drafting a few posters to go along with this campaign but I think the lack of elements to experiment held me back so I thought now that I have different icons etc I would try again to make something that links to the cards themselves to inform the audience. This being my first draft I feel works quite well I think I might need to work on readability or size of shapes etc. I think I'll take a break from this and go back to it with fresh eyes.
13 Most Successful Posters In History - Chilliprinting.com
I was just trying to look at successful poster that might influence my composition of mine. I think maybe the placement of the icons needs to be changed to make some kind of hierarchy that follows the text.
March 8th - DNAD Presentations
This is my presentation after trying to work on main pointers like using more text hierarchy etc from the last presentations
Bring some of the 4th page style into the other pages and social media etc
Move the solution to the second page
Cut down on text
Needs to be more hint on the business card as to what its about
Play with the white side bar
present the statement abortion is healthcare in a more blatant way using the playfulness of the last page.
Experiment a bit more with the image hierachy and make the chat feature larger than the tracker
Remove it from being a caresoul post in the presesntation
Maybe seperate the app from the other pages
March 1st - sign/icon drafts
Following my presentation feedback I started sketching and designing icons relevant to the pixel art style which I took into illustrator to make digital.
I quickly developed these so that I could add them to other elements and the presentation.
