that was literally my dream as a kid. I LITERALLY have an epic fantasy backstory as a farmer’s daughter. I was LITERALLY chosen at almost random out of nowhere. By actual coincidence I led all previous Swordmasters to the place that had been their camp like 6000 years ago on the previous cycle before I’d even been selected by the Gods’ chosen ones as Champion of All.
and I won the test against the previous Champion (now a mad demon) by DANCING COMPETITION (i know i know, stroke of genius lol) and then this actually thematically resonated on into the final battle because we threw a party beforehand to focus as much lifeforce on me as possible and we danced! and then after weathering wave after wave of dark Things I used my Demon Sword to hack a writhing screaming mass onto a golden throne to elevate it to godhood and bind the Nothing to Everything.
