Reason for breaking up? Lack of trust

He may be my favorite one, but he scares me the most and l trust him the least

I mean have u seen this guy lie and act?

I mean you probably did just couldn't tell he was lying his ass off

Genuinely if l didn't know his ass is a killer I would've belived this mf that he hadn't done anything wrong in his entire life

And that one line from Cain in the 2nd chapter still hunts me "that guy's a sociopath" FUH you mean

He's a great actor and a liar combine those two and you have a recipe for disaster

It can slide if the MC didn't know he was a killer and some things that he had done since if they didn't know they wouldn't have been able to tell he was lying

But I think it's even worse when someone knows that their partner is a natural born liar, at one point you will second guess everything that the other person says

I think that would be the reason they break up, MC just couldn't handle not knowing when Abel is lying or is being genuine

I think that the break up would be MC either talking to Abel after school or breaking up over text and I think MC would break up maybe like a month or two after the Harper and Abel argument in ch.18

The break up would fuck Abel up like no other

You didn't break up couse he fucked up real bad, or couse you lost feelings, it was becouse you couldn't trust him, and you just couldn't bear it anymore, the distrust became too much

It fucked with him even more since you still had feelings for him, and that's the worst part, you still love him and no metter what he tells you, that he had never lied to you, you can't help but second guess him

CAIN

Reason for breaking up? Fear of dying

If Cain doesn't kill in a certain time period the one he loves/cares about the most pays the price

And you accepted that when you got with him

But your most basic instinct for survival didn't agree with you, it started to fight you and it was winning

What if Cain forgets to kill and you don't wake up the next morning

It was truly a gamble tnat no one forced upon you

You tried to ignore it, "Cain has been killing practically his entire life no way he forgets now" that's what you have been telling yourself but as days went by you belived it less and less

Every single night you were afraid to fall asleep in fear of not waking up in the morning becouse Cain didn't hold up his end of the deal

The paranoia was killing you, the lack of sleep you got each night was shorter and shorter, it was unbearable

You loved Cain, you truly did, but your basic need for survival didn't let you to love him in peace

You just had to break things off, you couldn't spend the rest of your youth in fear of dying by something you have no control over

The break up effected Cain, it fucked him six ways to Sunday, but he couldn't blame you, it was a dangerous gamble one where you pay with your life for anothers mistake

It was the first time he let himself love and be loved but he had to accept the outcome, for your sake
