Now for the question on whether i know other vers of him, yeah OF COURSE i do. it just comes with finding every single little fact about the seven daughters And i actually like all take on him quite a lot! I never realised i dont talk about them much, but i definitely have to. Now theres MANY different views of him when it comes to tales and i genuinely can’t list them at the top of my head but this will be another post specially for that TRUST

Also keep in mind i used this ask to somewhat yap about SK lore and you really aren’t, like, ‘obligated’ or something to draw him exactly as I ranted about cause..ye it’s mainly me who thinks these things probably (from like 10 other people in this unknown ahh fandom)

SECOND. Yes this gave me a reality slap right in the face that we really don’t have another original perception or insight of the scarlet king other than ‘big red edgy guy with horns and teeth’, me INCLUDED especially. I actually was kinda stunned when i realised I really have always imagined him somewhat as depicted most of the times

So now to the actual ideas (hopefully some are good…). First thing that came to mind was that you can actually research or take inspiration from cultures! Mainly for his clothing, but culture includes indigenous beliefs with VERYYY interesting gods and I would actually love to research more if I had time. You don’t have to worry if you go for something unknown or completely surface-level, just have fun with it. Maybe portray him as inspired by somebody from the mythological legends, or as a cultural tribe leader? As far as I know Sanna is actually inspired by Inuit mythology, which can be a start. This actually came to me because the Seven Sisters in my head are infact influenced by cultures, so why not make everyone so? The inspiration also applies to everything and everyone; you can take inspiration from an animal, a real-life historical figure or event or even something like a song

Second, i don’t see an issue if he resembles a human form. So despite the whale jokes, part of him (a large one at that) is mainly presented as his toll on humanity, or even that humanity really might be the other side of the same coin as him. and besides, occasionally it looks as if people sketched out a human silhouette and just forcefully slapped what-not features they could find to make him look more ‘interesting’ as a god and everything but ehh idk. It looks too forced

And third for now is..chains aren’t necessary😭😭 YEA i know in fanart of him he always has chains but they never made sense to me IM SORRY. Chains definitely feel more metaphorical rather than literal chains. And they are a cool concept for drawing him sure but technically in the lore of Djoric’s sk they don’t really make that much sense. Chains breaking IMO as I said probably mean his increasing power

Here are firstly about SK, The Scarlet Horde, The Scarlet Court, etc…

The Scarlet King didn’t create cruelty, He just perfected it

The official murder of Sanna, where Jeser tricks her into being ambushed, was definitely not the Scarlet King’s first attempt to kill her (and possibly won’t be the last… (Dread Conspiracy reference))

The Scarlet King is just not capable of ‘love’. Even with that favourite Tree of his (treefugger..) it was not love. I am aware like 80% of the fandom like to soften what he does, to make him a loving father while he is still an antagonist but it just doesn’t work for me. He is a bastard and that’s it.

Sk and The Hanged King have a love-hate relationship. (But I definitely don’t ship them..where did that even come from like that red edgelord has five gadzillion concubines)

I think everybody agrees at this point that General Moloch and Lord Jeser are a duo (what do you even call two old gods who wish to destroy all of creation, when one is a shapeshifter and the other likes babies sacrificed to him? Definitely not best-friends…Trick and Treat?? (Haha im so funny))

Not really about SK directly, but for some reason I imagine the Darkness Above more akin to Purgatory rather than ‘Hell’ as it was described somewhere, while Darkness Below is the actual ‘Hell’.

Jeser 1000% made up a prophecy about himself.

Knowing that Jeser often visits Alagadda, he ABSOLUTELY had something to do with the banishing of the Black Lord

While we are on that topic, Jeser is the only lord of the Sacrlet Horde who goes to Alagadda.

And now FINALLY about our favourite, perfect, bright, shining, amazing, flawless A’habbat!!

Spitting image of her mother, except more soft-hearted. Literally. I think the whole fandom agrees on this.

The physical similarities between her and her mother, while they may be partly the reason SK hates her (because seeing someone he hates in his kid’s face…I, too, would honestly be pissed off) I believe the main reason would be because he sees his younger self in her in a way, too. Or, what he could have been.

I wholeheartedly ship Isabel Wondertainment x A’habbat.

Because of her kindness, A’habbat doesn’t really wish evil upon anybody, so naturally she, knowing she can never escape Him, would just like everybody with the slightest chance to. An example is Ero’Vahk, I headcanon that she definitely tried to convince him to leave, and he did.

A’habbat is the only one of her sisters who doesn’t have some form of horns or antlers

A’tivik looks like their father, A’nuht looks like neither of their parents and A’habbat looks like their mother.

Everybody from the Scarlet Court know about her rebellion

Hear me out, Ion is one of her children.

Jeser has serious beef with her (and all of her sisters) for no real reason

She eventually did succeed in escaping to the Library

Although A’tivik claims to hate A’habbat and being her sister, she has covered for her once (or twice..)

Again not really a headcanon, but If I had to imagine her as some kind of whale it would definitely have to be a beluga
