Once I hit my teenage years I would wake up to records spinning almost every morning & night. House Parties, School Dances and all Birthdays were spun by him. I was probably one of the few girls in Miami who had the hip-hop knowledge I did. Back then, of coarse, hip hop was not as commercial and available as it is today. I remember feeling cool because I would bump some Tribe, Common, or some Roots shit. I wanted the world to hear that I was not blasting some booty shaken or dirty south music but instead something that held meaning and consistency. It made feel different than the masses. It inspired me to walk to the beat of my own drum. There are times that I remember thinking " I will love hip-hop FOREVER!" This love for music opened many doors of creativity for me to explore but the one I am most thankful for is, writing. I am extremely proud to introduce my brother, Dj Manuvers, to the Dreasome Projects Blog.
Come visit again soon big brother.
