The Demon Boyz lit up MTV in 1987 with a raw, performance of This Is a Jam, a home-grown joint that proved UK Hip Hop could speak in its own accent. Demon Boyz-composed of Mike-J (aka Million Dan), Demon D (Almshouse Demon) and DJ Devastate -delivered a rare glimpse of the crew’s early chemistry.

Recorded for Tim Westwood‘s Capital Rap Show on Capital Radio 95.8 FM in 1988, the performance of the Demon Boyz showcases the raw energy that defined early British Hip Hop. The line-up features Tottenham’s Mike J, Demon D and DJ Devastate, each delivering their original blend of UK originality. The Demon Boyz’ influence rippled through subsequent British acts, cementing their status as pioneers.
