I donāt get your point, honestly. The machine is designed to display a heart rate to indicate that status of its occupant so, perhaps, anyone OUTSIDE of it can get them out?
Youād need more info than just heart rate and whether the pod is malfunctioning; as far as we know the person inside is still in cryogenic stasis and the pod is leaking a dangerous amount of condensation on the floor. That could cause a slip hazard!
Like, Iād get it if the implication wasnāt obviously thatĀ ā0 bpm = no heartbeat = dead.ā If the readout had said something likeĀ āTHAW COMPLETE - MALFUNCTIONā then 0 BPM would mean something. Instead, the implication is the same as Fallout 4ā²s cryo pod malfunction statuses: these completely frozen people stopped breathing and having a heart beat, oh no!
Either way, though, these pods should have alarms going off. Like, Mei wouldnāt have a chance to groggily brush her teeth, find out Overwatch is over, and then make her Horrific Discovery. Every other pod should be blaring with annoying alarms from the second she steps out of hers.
Itās a really terribly designed system, is I guess what Iām saying.
