So proud was I bringing in a 'new' couch it just made me think about my worldly possessions. It made me think how content I am with all of them, how great they look but most importantly and strikingly where everything came from... Wooden recycling trolley (disused IKEA wooden TV/DVD Trolley) £10 from second hand shop, old style wooden crates for recycling; found in Covent Garden Living Room: glass desk (hugsbear's) from IKEA, *sundry Eames knock offs from Vertigo Interiors (also hugsbear's). Couch FREE from local Trash Nothing Digest. *exceptions Bedroom 1: Victorian dresser; local auction £30, bed, made by hand with wood costing £30. Desk £10 from second hand shop, vintage Danish plastic chair £30 from a St Leonard's vintage shop Bedroom 2: Oak bed, made by hand with local wood, legs turned by local Turner Tom. Victorian dresser; local auction £30 studio: desk and shelves, metal drawers and sideboard all from IKEA bought in 1997. Futon, second hand Garden: Decking; made from free pallets, iron table and chairs, picked up from the street, 4 Roughton iron chairs- friends hand-me-downs; old metal hot water tank, £8 at local tip. Garden tools from local fairs and jumble sales and of course the local FREECYCLE events. Cushions models own made on hand-me-down sewing machine
