Gorgeous shot by DIYD & IMAA member @heatherglazzard from the DIYD demo workshop for Islington Mill Art Academy! This short demo has now expanded into an ongoing project to document the Islington Mill. A loaded simple automatic point an shoot camera is left in the Common area and studio holders and visitors are encouraged to capture their mill experience. These films are then processed, scanned and uploaded to the DIYD Flickr.

Also Pinterest inspired for more Bridal decor-- DIY gold, bottled vases!
Process: 1. Collect empty wine and beer bottles from friends. 2. Thoroughly clean with soap and hot/warm water. 3. Use Goo Be Gone and a scraper to remove labels. This was the more painstaking, tedious part. But I had a friend help me! 4. Set up spray station in well ventilated area. 5. The fun part: spray paint 2-3 coats of gold on all sides (bought from Lowe's/Home Depot, etc). Wait in between dry times or you'll get weird drippy areas, like I did. Check in the light for all sides to be covered. *I also recommend wearing a mask or some other protection to prevent you from inhaling fumes. 6. Voila! You have yourself some cheap, beautiful gold bottled vases to store flowers in. Great for decor in a venue or on the table :)
