Divos ran across the cafeteria and plopped himself next to Diamond, who was eating her lunch, minding her own business. He had almost bumped into her due to his velocity, nearly knocking over her lunch and her belongings.

“What the hell, Divos!” she cried with her mouth full of food.

“Sorry, sorry!!!” Divos said, quickly fixing up her stuff. “I just wanted to show you this cool thing I found the other day!”

And he reached into his backpack, struggling to pull out a crumpled up piece of paper, then showed it to her. Diamond looked at it, and realized that it was a Scholastic catalog selling various children’s books, as well as trinkets and toys.

“Where did you find this?” she asked.

“On the ground!” he answered, happily. “I picked it up last week while I was downtown, but look at this!!!”

He eagerly pointed to a specific item in the catalog. It was a pair of dainty friendship bracelets, decorated with colorful butterflies and flowers, and letters spelling out “Best Friends Forever”.

Diamond gasped. “Oh my god, they look so cute!!!”

“I know right?!” Divos smiled. “I was thinking about getting it, and giving one of the bracelets to you!”

Diamond covered her mouth with her hands, and stared at Divos with watery eyes. “Oh my god...Divos, that’s so sweet of you!!!”

“So where’ve you been this whole week?” asked Chrys one morning.

Divos almost choked on his juice box. He wasn’t sure what to tell her, well technically, he did, but it was a secret.

Last week, Divos was summoned back to the Realm for an urgent matter.

“Eos has fallen.” they had told him. “And completely severed her connection from us. We are entrusting on you to find her and bring her back to the Realm, so she can face proper judgement.”

And for an entire week--Earth weeks, to be exact--Divos travelled from dimension to dimension in search for the Fallen until he reached Earth-16, and upon arriving there he knew he had found her. And he found her quickly too.

She was floating in the air, with an immense aura of malice and destruction around her. Her pitch black eyes darted around with rage, as she shot beams of light, one after the other, upon innocent civilians who were all scrambling for their lives.

Divos wasn’t looking forward to confronting her, and after his initial attempt, he knew it would be a difficult fight. And it was.

“Tell the Realm that they are all fools.” Eos had told him, as he laid defeated on the ground. “And I won’t stop until I complete my mission!”

“So, where were you?” Chrys asked again, snapping Divos out of his thoughts.

“Uhhh...I was...on a family trip…?” he answered, smiling sheepishly.

Chrys squinted her eyes at him. “...On finals week?”

“It--It was...important!”

Chrys slowly nodded her head, but still looked at him very suspiciously, which made Divos even more nervous.

“Where did you go?” she finally spoke.

Divos gulped. “Uhh...we went...to….Seattle…”

“Really?”

“Yeah! Yeah, it was lovely, very lovely! California is such a great place to visit--”

“You said you went to Seattle.”

“I--I did!”

“....Seattle is in Washington.”

Silence fell between them for a moment, before Divos let out a quiet little squeal of panic, followed by a short cough. “I knew that.”

“No you didn’t.”

Divos nervously ran his hand through his hair, before clearing his throat and standing up a little too quickly, dropping his juice box to the floor.

“I-I just remembered I had to do a thing...for...a class...bye.”
