Divigenic is an origin for headmates who were put into the system by a god, deities, divine/celestial being, etc. Or it could be a system that was created by a god, deities, divine/celestial being, etc. possibly for a purpose but it doesn't need to be.

Alternatively; it can also be that a system member is a god, deity, divine/celestial being, etc. and not to be mistaken for an introject of them. Can also be called Diviten in this case, but it doesn't have to be.

It can be a subtype of spirigenic.

Our spiritual beliefs affect our plurality in multiple ways. It should be noted that we agree with these beliefs to varying degrees, some 100%, some not at all.

I firmly believe that everything has a spirit, a soul, whatever you want to call it. I believe this for humans, animals, insects, fish, plants, fire. Water and air in their entirety have souls. Everything with a soul deserves compassion and to be treated with respect.

I believe that all these souls collectively make up the experience of the universe, and that each of these souls belongs to the universe. I believe each headmate has a soul, but me and my co host have two parts of the same soul, this may be because we split from the same part (and so feel like two halves of one person) or because when we front together we both feel whole again. I love my co host, deeply and truly. It's a love that I have cultivated to have toward myself and my therapist (of the time) told me to project love onto another alter in order to start this self love process.

Our deities are walk-ins? They come and go, using our body as a vessel to enact their roles. I have since found a better term— divigenic— which describes this experience more accurately. Our deities (which are associated with kindness and other human attributes moreso than physical objects) put themselves into our body to act out their will. If I am going to be cruel, then my deity will remind me to be kind and will then enact that kindness. If I am going to be rude, my deity will be polite.

They are not alters. They are not dissociated parts of my self. They are not "caretakers" or whatever. They are spirits that thrive in a world full of love.

I have called myself many things in the past. Ex-catholic. Pagan. Atheist. Agnostic. Wiccan. Buddhist. Hellenic Pagan. A witch. Muslim. Not in any particular order.

I don't think any of those terms apply now and so I just call myself spiritual. My beliefs do not extend into rules; all my deity asks of me is to make the best decisions. And I try.

Sometimes I use crystals to ground myself in the attributes I want to convey. Sometimes I veil in order to keep myself centered. Sometimes I talk to the trees in the forest and plant flowers in the ground whilst singing to them.
