This is where I ended up last night! Pretty serendipitously. I searched a bunch on the internet for a place that wouldn’t be too crowded and would have live local music. I found a bunch of places on “Music Row” and went on an epic wander down the whole strip. They were all filled with college students and loud pop music. Lots of drunk looking bros. So I kept walking, and walking a bit more. Farther out into the quieter neighborhoods. There was one place on the phone’s map kinda on the edge of everything. That sounded maybe promising. So I aimed at it. When I got there, it was this place. Kinda hidden in the dark behind a bunch of big pickups. Has the look of what I might be looking for though. So, after a brief hesitation, I went in. These pics here, are what I saw. When I walked in, I stopped by the door for a minute. There were some turned heads. Maybe some hard looks. But the band kept playing and nobody paid much more mind so I walked past the stage to the bar, found a stool not right next to anyone, ordered a tall boy of Yuengling, and soaked it all in! And it was freaking lovely! Nice music, good folks, not expensive beer, and exactly, I mean EXACTLY, what I was looking for!!! I can’t say whether or not you should go to Bobby’s Idle Hour in Nashville. It seemed like it’s very much a local bar for local people. And I do make some… choices, sometimes. So your mileage may vary. But I loved it! And I’m incredibly happy to have found it!!!! The atmosphere was perfect. And the music just filled my heart with happiness (and sadness and all the other very tasty emotions!)
