perhaps  it  is  downright  wrong  for  minjun  to  eavesdrop,  but  it  is  hardly  intentional  when  they  live  in  the  same  apartment  and  the  walls  are  only  so  thick.  he  tries  to  contain  his  amusement  as  he  watches  the  almost-fling  storm  out  of  his  ex’s  room  and  the  apartment  in  a  fit  of  unjustified  anger.  “i  didn't  know  you  have  a  thing  for  guys  with  anger  issues  who  look  like  they  haven’t  slept  in  ten  days.”  is  it  mean  of  him  to  gloat  even  just  for  a  little  bit?  maybe,  but  he  is  feeling  too  petty  to  be  his  usually  considerate  self.  as  an  olive  branch  of  sorts,  he  slides  a  beer  over  the  countertop  for  the  other  before  taking  a  swing  of  his  own.  “looks  like  you  need  it.”

for  a  moment,  ara  finds  herself  incapable  of  speaking,  all  words  out  of  reach  for  someone  usually  so  eloquent  in  front  of  the  cameras.  “what  do  you  mean  you’re  dating  someone  else?”  it  feels  like  a  cruel  prank  and  she  secretly  wishes  that  they  will  soon  break  into  a  silly  grin  and  announce  it  as  such,  but  the  seriousness  in  their  eyes  tells  a  different  story.  a  story  that  she  would  prefer  not  to  be  a  part  of.  she  blinks,  trying  to  keep  her  tears  at  bay  as  she  struggles  not  to  crumble  under  the  overwhelming  ache  in  her  chest.  how  can  they  do  this  to  her?  is  their  love  so  fickle  that  they  don’t  even  respect  her  enough  to  call  it  quits  officially?  “you  said  you  needed  a  break  —  not  a  break-up.”
