You are probably the only person who meets the dual qualifications for this question due to your allergy background and your knowledge of sex stuff: what's a lube that's both hypoallergenic and doesn't contain any chemicals for spermicide or antibiotic? I've tried almost everything with no luck. My doctor is useless. Any suggestions?
Have you tried Sliquid Organics? http://sliquid.com/full-width/sliquid-organics/
It’s one of the very few brands I don’t react negatively to, and still feels like lubricant rather than some other organic brands which can be either too thin or weirdly lumpy in my experience and don’t last very long. You might want to look over the ingredients to make sure there’s nothing there you are allergic to, but it’s my go to lube for everything. I can even enjoy their flavored ones, even though they are technically not part of the organic range so high five to them for quality ingredients.
If you have tried that and it didn’t work for you, you can also use straight up coconut oil, but that also hinges on you or your partner(s) not being allergic, and also you can’t use condoms/other barrier methods with it cause the oil erodes the latex (this is true of all oil based lubricants, they can also damage some toys). I know some people have also said it can give them a yeast infection due to the naturally occurring sugars, but I actually use it to treat yeast infections, so it depends on your natural body flora. So y’know test with caution and all that.
