genuinely devestating if you consider this in the context of uta-luffy-shanks. shanks really did lowkey cure his kids to chase after him and the promises they made to him and then we also add usopp waiting and staring out at the sea painfully lonely like luffy and shanks. actually maybe the real curse is the red-hair pirates and their own choices to make promises that will take forever to fufill.
