Astoria in Queens is one of those incredibly underrated neighborhoods tagged with the “up and coming” tagline. Well, contrary to popular belief, Astoria has “up and come” already. This neighborhood has an incredibly diverse population of residents (some pockets primarily Greek, which is why the Greek food here is Where. It’s. At. Seriously, best Greek food you will ever have sits in Astoria) and is still home to cheap (relative to NYC) rents which is what makes this neighborhood so desirable. You also have easy access to the N, W, R train lines which is great because those subway lines hit basically every neighborhood in Manhattan and beyond.
