(Fanfiction Writers day? Is that a thing? *googles* Ooooh, so August 21st  was Fanfiction Writers Appreciation Day! Good to know, that’s really nice. AND YOU DROPPED BY TO SEND ME THIS MESSAGE! THANK YOU, LOVELY!!)

Btw, those fics are really special to me, too. =) I never thought I would fall so hard for these guys only after 5-10 minutes of on-screen interaction, but I did… and then I wrote His Worth and I fell even harder. They are both just so interesting, how they bring out the absolute best out in each other (Dion making Critias see his own worth and potential, Critias making Dion see that he is not responsible for everything and the weight of the world does not rest on his shoulders) and… and I really think they could’ve been great together.

One of these days, I really have to sit down and write a happy fix-it oneshot.

Hey no worries :D It’s difficult to pay attention to anyone else when your OTP is on the screen, I totally get that. And Jariadne had plenty of awesome moments in the first block :)

But yeah, these guys totally had a thing for each other. Every second they spent together on screen was filled with sexual tension. Critias’ eyes even followed Dion wherever he went!

I know I should probably take this with a grain of salt  - but in the case it really is true then WHOAA. Thomas Coombes might have read my Ditias fic. *mind-blown*

I'm quite sure I've never been this mind-blowned! It's just, there's something really shocking about having an actor read something you wrote about a character he played.

(The following excerpt does not reflect the overall tone of the story but it’s my favourite, so. There you go.)

He ends up being positioned right behind Hercules and his two friends (Pythagoras and Jason, as he learns from their conversations) and Critias almost regrets his decision to make peace with them because they Won’t. Shut. Up. Critias wants to bang their heads with the hilt of his sword and stomp on their feet to get them to stop talking.

“It’s the waiting I hate,” Hercules is saying now. Critias rolls his eyes and sees another man near them doing the same. “Why can’t they just attack and have done with it?”

[…] The Palladium is back, so maybe the deserters will return as well. It would help their numbers and maybe… maybe they would have a chance at surviving.

But then the witty blond has to open his mouth.

“Mathematically, your optimism is entirely misplaced. The odds suggest we will all be slaughtered.
