#distractions.

I took the Art Nouveau legs from the glass china cabinet, and built them onto an oak table (I'll need to stain and sand the oak and add edging, but that's a later thing) so that I can have my wee Skythian table back for yurt camping, so now the Japanese luggage dresser is on it's own art Nouveau support table:

It fits exactly in the space beside the bed, and leaves a wee bit of room to the left for electrics, and to the bottom to take the folding camp chair for the shaving setup.

That allows me to remove the not particularly good bedside table and end up with this setup beside the bed:

So now the hall mirror with it's hooks is between both dressers, and holds my shaving setup, dressing gown and towels, while the Japanese dresser on it's new leggies holds my washbowl, writing desk, bedside lamp, etc.

That in turn frees up space to move the big dresser sideways slightly, so there's more room at the foot of the bed, and for the woven baskets we use for laundry:

My modern clothes are in the Rimu Edwardian dresser, while my Medieval reenactment kit is in the Japanese travelling dresser, and my 1890's reenactor kit is slid under the bed in the big black metal soldier's footlocker, as appropriate.
