As always, I’ll start with Niles/C.C.

49: “Well this is awkward”

“Well, this is awkward…”

She felt like kicking him for stating something so goddamn obvious. But it’s not like it would’ve helped in their current situation. Instead, she focused on pulling her skirt back straight and doing up her blouse. When Niles came out of his embarrassed trance, he swiftly pulled his trousers back up and tucked in his shirt, slipping out of the open closet door.

C.C. followed, pretending not to even notice the gaping stares of the Sheffields, and resolving to check that the house was actually empty next time.

And now onto Niles/Daphne.

21: “We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm and you wanna stop and feel the rain?”

It took him a few fast paces before he realised she wasn’t under the umbrella with him. Confused, he turned, and there she was: further back on the sidewalk, palms open and upward, catching the drops on her skin. And probably a chill right along with them.

He didn’t say this aloud, instead he only chuckled, “We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm and you wanna stop and feel the rain?”

She turned to look at him, smiled in that way that told him she knew what she was doing, and replied, “So sue me, I enjoy it.”

Oh, I’m sorry, hahaha. I’ll do the other one now. (I feel a little stupid, but I guess it’s an easy mistake to make)

White: 3 facts about my personality.

1. I try to be kind to everyone. It makes other people happy and I enjoy it.

2. That being said, a LOT of things make me bitter.

3. I’m pretty sure I come across as too nervous and worried a lot of the time, which puts people off.

Grey: 2 facts about my favourite things.

1. I keep a lot of them on top of a chest of drawers in my room. Those are actual objects. (This one is hard, seeing as ‘things’ could refer to concepts as well as objects)

2. My favourite sitcoms are all from the 1990s (an easy concept to talk about)

Purple: 10 facts about my room.

1. I have a light shade made of shells.

2. My room is taken up mostly by my bed, which is black, and has a faux snow leopard print fur cover to keep me warm.

3. I always keep something to write on by my bed.

4. I have a small collection of DVDs by my TV. It’s a couple of seasons of Will and Grace, Star Trek (2009), and Dark Shadows (2012)

5. I have a giant stuffed animal leopard on top of my wardrobe. I won it in a raffle at school.

6. In my wardrobe I have a lot of old clothes that don’t fit my mother, but would fit me. They’re mostly blouses that I often look for an excuse to wear (a couple of them have shoulder pads, and I feel like a businesswoman from the 80s/90s when I put them on). There’s also an Icelandic wool poncho that my grandparents bought for my mum, but it doesn’t really suit me and it itches.

7. In my room, I have more perfume than I’ll probably ever wear. I put it in my hair if I’m going somewhere nice.

8. I have a number of movie posters. My favourite is the one of Bellatrix Lestrange, that I got from the Harry Potter Studio Tour.

9. My wallpaper is pink and white. My carpet is dark green.

White: What’s your age? I’m 20 physically, but mentally, I’d guess at around 45.

Grey: Favourite movie? The King’s Speech. Helena Bonham Carter and Colin Firth are both precious and the entire thing is a masterpiece (also see that comment about me being mentally middle-aged).

Thank you, @dismantledrose! <3 I was in the middle of doing this when my tablet gave out and I had to wait until I’d got back from the cinema to finish, so I apologise for the wait. :-)

who said i love you first? I think Niles, but that’s just coming from the thought that it’s obvious what you think of a person when you propose to them four times (I’m not counting the fifth time, when C.C. accepted, because I think they both would have said it by that stage). He probably wouldn’t say the actual words until he was certain she would say them back (one of my published fics has this kind of idea involved).

who laughs when the other trips? Both, of course. C.C. is more likely to be out loud about it, though.

who pays the bills? C.C. probably pays it, but I’m imagining all finances are settled by the pair of them equally. Joint bank accounts and all.

which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays? Niles makes the bigger deal, but knows that C.C. doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to holidays which involve happy family gatherings, so he tries to make it fun for her.

who’s more clumsy? Neither are particularly clumsy, but Niles would have to be more careful as part of his job (so he didn’t break china, glass, etc.). 

who checks their daily horoscope? Niles. Fran got him into it. He says he only checks it ironically, but then he’ll spend the rest of the day checking for signs that it came true.

who sings louder in the car? Niles. C.C. says it annoys her, and this only makes him sing louder. Secretly she loves it.

who leaves the cap off the toothpaste? C.C., but only if she’s in a hurry to be somewhere. Work is more important than some stupid piece of plastic, after all.

who is more up to date in pop culture? C.C. would be more inclined to be up-to-date simply because part of her work would involve what she could sell to an audience.

who insists on going to see the newest movies? They both agree on seeing the newest movies equally (if they can get a babysitter, and if they’re not too tired after being at work all day). This doesn’t mean they like newer movies more than old ones, though, and curling up on the sofa to watch something is a lot more intimate than going to a cinema.

who cries when the abused animal commercials come on? Niles on a more regular basis. However, during her pregnancy C.C. would be inconsolable even at the thought of those ads. It’s a subject which she never mentions, and Niles isn’t allowed to mention it either. To anyone. Ever. Yes, she knows it’s proof she has a heart, but it’s humiliating, for crying out loud.

who’s the lighter sleeper? Niles, developed from years of being asked for things during the middle of the night.

who believes in ghosts? Both would say that neither of them believed in ghosts. Put them in an old, abandoned house and watch C.C. jump out of her skin when Niles creeps up on her.

who does the grocery shopping? NIles. C.C. joins him when she has time off (hence that one time in Walmart) to help him read off the list. It makes her feel like she’s doing something when she’s not working.

who updates their facebook status more often? I think C.C. would only have Facebook for work contacts, and Niles would have been dragged into setting up an account by Fran, but he would be more inclined to update more often because he’d be posting pictures of their children to send to relatives in England, as well as taking embarrassing pictures of C.C. whilst she sleeps. Of course he’d tag her in them, and then never hear the end of it.
