Hamilton, Oct. 18 (Staff). - Prosecution of parents of alleged disloyal Hamilton school children in juvenile court was decided upon by officials of the Board of Education at a conference this afternoon, and action will be instituted after Dr. W. L. Whitelock, chairman of the board, has conferred with Mayor William Morrison.
It is expected they will meet Monday. Charges will be laid immediately, Dr. Whitelock said tonight, if the mayor reports the board’s plan will not conflict with any other action against the parents which may be contemplated by city authorities.
‘We are prepared to go ahead with prosecutions,’ announced Dr. Whitelock, following the closed meeting. Attending with the chairman were Trustee David A. Robinson, chairman of the internal management committee; R. H. Foster, business administrator; Frank E. Perney, superintendent of schools; and Walter R. Rollo, school attendance officer.
‘I feel our efforts should be correlated,’ said Dr. Whitelock. ‘I will arrange to see the mayor and hope to do so Monday and will advise him of our decision,’ added the chairman. ‘I want to be sure what we intend to do will not conflict with or duplicate in any way action which may be contemplated by other authorities.’
