#disgruntle

 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.

Philippians 4:4 (ESV)

If you haven’t seen any disgruntled people online in the past couple of months, you either don’t have a Facebook account or you only check out this website. Which if that is you, “Thanks” for being a fan.

It has been insane and a little surreal to see so many people upset about nothing they control. And it doesn’t matter if your pro or con on an issue, everyone is angry. I wish I could say, “At the least Christians are being sensible,” but no they are the worse.

They are nothing more than a little girl who hates the world because of a skinned knee. So many people “hating this and hating that,” when the scriptures tell us to find joy in this world.

As a Christian, I shouldn’t allow other people to take away my joy because I find joy in the Lord, which can never go away.

So whatever is going through your life right now, focus on the Lord and rejoice in Him.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, and now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

So it starts with disgruntle, because gruntling certainly SOUNDS grumpy and then why would un-gruntling be bad? But it turns out that the dis- prefix not only has the senses like "lacking" or "apart" but ALSO the vestiges of another sense "exceedingly, utterly," which, I mean, WTF, but okay, English.
