I've spent a lot of my time on social media lately asking people to donate their hard-earned cash to Discover Color. From where I sit this morning, I give us a 50/50 shot at crossing the finish the line on our goal of $5,000. I know lots of people have visited the kickstarter page. But why haven't those visits translated to donations? The honest answer is I don't know. But here's what I do know. Three Reasons to Donate to Discover Color:

1. You love design. Color is integral to the spaces, experiences and software we design. Color was once a static medium. One could have color light but generally speaking the means of changing that color was difficult and in retail or commercial applications they were rare.  

But today, we with the advent of color changing LED at reasonable price points we can change color at will. Understanding that power through a designed project could be a tremendous tool. 

2. You love lighting. 

I shared a link previously to the practice of color walking. Today I tried it on the way to picking up the cargo van I needed. I randomly chose green. Being conscious of green for even this short walk made me conscious of things I hadn't previously thought about.
