(( Mikoto’s moral compass may be all over the place at times, but there’s no way he could choose Ryouga over Lije. And yes, he damn well knows that this decision would mean that Mai-chan woud have to continue life without her dad being around. Kura was used to the little girl, Mikoto, she had said, showing up with little to no warning, so he had starting planning in advance. This time, he was certain he had a great idea... All there was now to wait for her to show up. And no, he was not getting soft. She was interesting, and had an interesting point of view.

Kura was frozen in place as he watched Mikoto, eyes glowing, as she stood over the destruction around her, laughing. No, this wasn't her. This was that god she had told him about, the god of destruction...

He couldn't let this god continue but... was he powerful enough to stop him? He wasn't his father. He didn't have his power... and this... this was Mikoto. He... he couldn't hurt her.

But she was hurting people, destroying the world, things that she would never want to do. She would want him to stop her, wouldn't she?

"Mikoto!" He wasn't sure what came over him as he called out to her, but when she turned, for a moment, it was the god that looked out of the little girl's eyes.

"Dragon-san?"

He stopped, his eyes wide. Was she...? He couldn't do it, even with his claws.

And then her eyes changed, and a different voice snarled out of her throat.

"DIE"

Kura was blasted backwards, and as he fell, his powers kicked up to defend him, a blizzard of snow and rain swirling around the little girl's body.
