This new collaboration between Christopher Royal King (Symbol, This Will Destroy You) and Christopher Tignor (Slow Six, Wires Under Tension) simmers with intensity. If you’re familiar with either artist’s work, you’ll know they focus on creating an immersive listening experience that exerts an undeniable pull on the emotions. Disassembler is no exception, and A Wave from A Shore ranks highly in both artists’ discographies. Back masked textures run into forward-rushing instrumental layers, creating a perpetual whirl of oceanic orchestration. The main instrument rising above the maelstrom is most often Tignor’s characteristically piercing violin, unafraid to soar up into the instrument’s highest registers. It is a stirring, cinematic experience.
