'Mom kind've...re-arranged my room, I guess,’ He muttered quietly, 'Threw me off a little bit.’ It had more than thrown him off, it had had him writhing all night with frustrated tears in his eyes until he'd finally just given up, flung the covers onto the floor and grabbed his notepad and pen, curled up on the comfy seat beneath his window and let the stars be his light as he scribbled away. It had prevented even a wink of sleep but, he kept that to himself. It wasn't like Jack didn't know the truth anyway.
( edit from the future: we used to get asks all the time about if the author was ever going to complete this fic. in 2014, eve messaged her on twitter to ask if she ever intended to finish it and she told her that she had lost interest in the story and did not intend to write any more for it, but that she felt she had left it at a point that works as an ending, so in case anyone wondered, this is a completed story. )
