Praise to Weekend Wrestling for recently posting this classic "Taped Ribs" match. This is an old wrestling trope where the Good Guy foolishly agrees to a match while injured. Even more foolishly, he wears a bandage around his body so the evil Heel can see exactly where he is injured.

Of course, said Heel then attacks the injured area non-stop, causing profound suffering and pain for said Good Guy. It's very abusive and a big turn-on when done well.

I'm guessing one of my fellow Vintage Pro Wrestling lovers out there, who grew up getting turned on by this type of match, must've commissioned the old Taped Ribs scene and helped script the punishment. Good job, my fellow pervert -- thanks for doing that! (Although, I get the sense that Dirty D, the Heel inflicting said punishment, is himself a Vintage Pro Wrestling lover and might've set up this match as an homage to a classic gimmick.)

My only regret is that they didn't take the Taped Ribs gimmick far enough for my tastes. First of all, the bandage should be a bright white color so it really stands out and screams injury. This skin-toned bandage blends in too well on Danny's body. It should also be higher up around his ribcage, it's not a damn cummerbund.
