Als je soms het gevoel hebt dat niemand je begrijpt, is dat omdat niemand je begrijpt. Maar geef je ze ongelijk? Je begrijpt jezelf vaak niet eens.

I want to become immortal. No, not just immortal. I want to prove all who have ever doubted me wrong. I want to say all the things I was never able to, to the people who shut me out, who ignored me or simply put me down. I want to rise above all earthly conveniences and show myself and my story in such a legendary way that they will have to listen. I am sick of being invisible and screaming into the void. But how do I reach such a state? How do I become famous enough for people not even being able to outrun it? All great art and artists were innovative in their age and era. But there is so much talent now, and not much care anymore for the arts in general. I would either have to be extremely outstanding, which, let’s face it, is not a very realistic goal to set when you’re twenty years old and in your first year of college, or I have to become ‘popular’. Popular in the sense of being mildly pretty and talented and simply find something that will put me in the spotlight and hopefully be remembered. But could I even do that? Would I even be able to put out my bare soul and walk around naked for the rest of my life, for the whole world would then know my secrets? If I cannot, it will only make it easier I suppose, for I wouldn’t have to learn to master an art form in which I could express myself in my fullest potential and also have people like it. Why is it that because one person has not listened to me in my most desperate times, it makes me want the whole world to hear it? I suppose I have a desperate need to be heard, to be understood, and truthfully; saved.  - Eline
