one thing the tadc finale did that i really loved is how abrupt and quiet the skip to jax' abstraction is. the story doesn't make a massive deal out of the moment it happens, you just see everyone else reacting to it.
it wasn't shocking that it happened. not even surprising. the story didn't need to show it happen.
you already knew it was going to happen.
the signs were there.
there's nothing more to say about it.
just a solemn moment of silence, to allow you to process and accept it.
in retrospect there's an extra layer of tragedy, in that while pomni wishes she would pry a little more... it wouldn't help. jax would likely lash out more while she's at her weakest.
jax had to make that leap of faith herself, and even almost did it! but there's nothing else anyone could've done to prevent it. by the time she finally allows someone to be there for her, it's already too late.
