One of the anons mentioned pokemon ranger and I cannot help but say: holy shit someone actually knows this one! I love those games. Maybe they aren't about beating gyms and catching pokemon but they are still good on their own. The humor in pokemon ranger: shadows of almia is especially top tier! The evil team is hilarious and their theme song is a banger! One of my favorite scenes is when the player arrives to a giant ice castle and inside of it there's like a giant chunk of ice blocking the path to a gem both you and the evil team want to get. The conversation goes somewhat like:
Team Dim Sun grunt 1: That's a really big chunk of ice.
Team Dim Sun Grunt 1: If you tried to make snow cones outta it... you would be able to feed like 403 people.
*the player casually stands behind them*
Team Dim Sun Grunt 2: *turns around* hey!! Your outfit!! What they were called again?! Pokemon ranger...?! You came for a snow cone..?!
Lmao that’s so funny! Dim Sun? I guess they already knew about the intelligence of heir members after all lol. But in all seriousness, it sounds like a cute game! Of course, if it’s not about beating gyms and catching Pokémon, I’m not sure what else it could be about, but it sounds cute.
