I’ve always wanted to work on a Doll in Mind Flowne because I think the sculpt is utterly adorable. Her theme was pink pink pink!! A lot of fun really. The client wanted her sans-swirls for the face up as their child doesn’t like them (she’s their child’s doll). So she got a heart on her cheek! Her old face up by another artist had sadly chipped, which is why I was asked to redo it. 

Here we have my Doll in Mind Gayane in normal skin. I have named her Autumn, after my favorite season of the year. She has a history for sure. 

She was gifted to me by a friend whose first doll she was before I left for Austria, but I had to leave her behind with a friend in the move as we were going to take her on the flight with us. Due to having our carry ons too heavy, we had to take several things out, check one of her carry ons as an additional suitcase, and with all the stress, my wife decided to leave her behind too. 

My friend finally sent her back to me, but as she’s not in the hobby, she didn’t realize she’d packed her up without her head cap! So I made her a temporary one out of fimo and magnets. It works, even if it’s a lumpy mess, but she can wear wigs and that’s all that matters. 

She’s on the Happy Glamorous body, which is at best... janky. She can’t sit up straight, her wrists are engineered strangely, she has huge knockers, and getting her to pose is a nightmare. I will mod her hips, restring, and suede her all over once my new elastic arrives.
