Changes I would make?: None. Okay, that’s a lie judging by my unpopular opinion.
Unpopular opinion: For the longest time (before XII/XIII), I just wanted SNK to change his outfit lmao. Kyo, Kensou, and Robert, for example, got new outfits whenever a new arc began… King, Ryo, and Yuri went through slight changes. Even Ralf and Clark changed a little between 99 and 03. And, of course, Athena literally got a new outfit every year, but Iori (and numerous others)? Nah. But they finally updated his look, so my unpopular opinion is void (now, whether the new look is good or bad is another story….). So… I guess I said all that to say I don’t really have an unpopular opinion for him.
Okay, I lied. I know he and Kyo are sworn enemies, but I do wish SNK would show that there’s more to him than his rivalry with Kyo. It’s been 23 years since he debuted and they could have easily done something else with him when he lost his flames, but no. Let’s continue this tomfoolery with Kyo, who he literally could have killed at any point if he ~truly~ wanted to but has yet to do so. Oh, well.
Where did you find KR1 subbed? Does it have the whole series?
well like most people i got the first ~40 or so from KITsubs, who sadly haven’t posted anything in a while... but recently XIG fansubs has gone through and subbed basically the entire thing, and very quickly too - they only have a couple episodes left to do which will probably be released soon. they’re hardsubbed which is too bad but the translation quality is generally pretty good. i’m super grateful to them; for a while there i’d kinda resigned myself to never getting to watch the rest.
