G.A.V., producer of Calvin Klein and Emanuel Ungaro lines, adopts the NScan Automatic Digitizing System
G.A.V., producer of the Calvin Klein Women's Better Sportswear and Emanuel Ungaro clothing lines, has adopted the NScan automated digitizing system to digitize all its paper patterns. The NScan, developed by N-hega, is the first effective automated alternative to digitizing tables. Using a wide format scanner and intelligent software, the NScan digitizes pattern pieces in seconds. Furthermore, the NScan delivers accuracy up to 1/100th of an inch and virtually eliminates digitizing errors. The NScan now automates the digitizing of all the paper patterns generated at G.A.V.
"The NScan has had a great impact on our productivity," says George Spiechowski, Vice President of Production. "Though the NScan's speed is clearly superior to that of a digitizing table, what we have found particularly impressive is the NScan’s accuracy. It is far more precise and consistent than a digitizing table or any of the old scanning systems. When we digitize using the NScan, we know that the patterns will be true to the original shape every time, which is tremendously beneficial to our operation."
"N-hega's customer and support service has been excellent," said Cesar Lopez, Director of CGM. "They have shown great commitment to us, and have listened carefully to our input when developing upgrades."
"G.A.V. is a company that pays particular attention to quality," said David Geiger, President and CEO of N-hega. "I am glad to see that the years of development that have gone into the NScan has allowed G.A.V. to improve their product quality, while at the same time dramatically increasing their efficiency."
Launched earlier this year, the NScan already counts some of the world's leading manufacturers and service companies as customers. Other users of the NScan include Liz Claiborne, XOXO, My Michelle and leading service companies worldwide.
