u should send in "lights, cameras, action!" so i can tell you how ur muse would be introduced in their debut scene in aisling's tv show/movie series (i.e. the build-up, the hints, the music, the little easter eggs) (even if you've already sent it in on the old blog, and even if we haven't interacted yet!) ( ALWAYS ACCEPTING! )
S1 E18: LEANBH. ( TRANS: CHILD. )
this episode is brought to us by toy stores! which toy store, you ask? all of them and none of them simultaneously, idk, but they're ALL promoting a 20% discount on all electronic toys bc we're just that powerful now. it's also worth mentioning at this point that jeremy has been appearing in previous episodes, but this is the jeremy-centric episode, yk? like he's the star this time. originally he's been present at the dinner table, watching television with his siblings, doing homework with advik, making cakes with stanley, but almost in the background, yk? very clearly a beloved member of the family, but he hasn't been at the front before now.
so we're approaching friday night, fans are begging for a crumb of information bc wdym "child", aisling has so many kids, wdYM??? and the only clue they get is a coy suggestion to play dbh bc that's what we have to do here, we're a community of artists, we're lifting and rising together.
friday night rolls around. toy sales are sky-rocketing. the uptick in people playing dbh is astronomical. people sit around the television, hit play and the episode airs.
the episode is shot primarily from jeremy's perspective. the opening scene is seen through the mirror in his room, as aisling kneels in front of him and helps him with his tie, pausing regularly to let him look in the mirror and approve of the process. the lighting is bright and warm, a sunny afternoon cast through the blinds as we see jeremy regularly crane his neck to see outside the window, until aisling gently holds his shoulders. " she said 2:30PM. that's what she said. what if she thinks i'm bad, for not knowing how to tie my tie? what if she says i'm defe-- "
" she won't. hey. she won't say anything. you know, grandpa richard still wears the same tie that pop-pop stanley tied on their wedding day? i don't hear many people calling him bad, do you? come on. you have nothing to worry about. you're amazing, and she knows that. she just wants to make sure i can handle it. "
a tense smile is exchanged, and then the camera cuts; at jeremy's height, we watch as aisling holds his hand and leads him to the front door, where the frosted glass blurs the face of the woman outside. jeremy greets her politely, but is visibly nervous as they retire to the living room, noticed by the social worker as she leans forward with a small smile. " jeremy, dear, i want you to understand something. i'm here to make sure you and your foster mom are a good match. okay? and if it all goes well, then you'll officially be adopted. but if i have any concerns, it just means we'll have another visit with one of my colleagues. okay? all you have to do is tell me the truth. "
the camera shifts back to aisling and jeremy. jeremy looks relieved at the clear instructions. aisling looks pleasantly panicked, but gives jeremy a gentle squeeze of the hand before taking her seat and giving him some space. " okay. here's the truth. "
we enter a beautiful montage. it's a radiant, vibrant thing of pure child-like joy. jeremy discusses meeting aisling in the park, and how excited he was to have a mother again. we see him sitting on a swing as aisling pushes him, then on a picnic blanket as they eat sandwiches together. we see him getting tucked into bed by aisling, a little night light in the shape of a star on the wall. we see him waking up, heading out to the kitchen, and giggling as he helps make the pancake batter, cheering when he tosses a pancake just right, and tucking into a thick stack. one might argue that the memories are almost too bright, too peachy, too idyllic. but jeremy remains loyal to this unwavering depiction of his time in the apartment. aisling looks stunned, and the social worker seems pleased with these memories. but then she asks a question that plunges the scene into a tense, jarring silence. " and do you feel safe here, jeremy? "
jeremy gazes at the social worker for a moment, hands clasped together in his lap. aisling is seen leaning forward a fraction of an inch, the tension excruciatingly clear. we catch a snatched glimpse of a memory. aisling on the ground, a dead man on the tiles, blood on her hands as she pushes herself to her knees, coughing soundlessly. the camera shakes; the camera is in fact jeremy's perspective, as seen when we get a new angle, jeremy staring frantically at aisling as she tries to see if he's hurt. " baby, did he hurt you? jeremy, did he-- "
" you're a monster! "
the memory shatters, jeremy's cry fading away as aisling stares straight ahead, fingertips whitening against the arms of the armchair. we hear jeremy speak up. " i know my mother would do anything to keep me safe. " the relief is palpable; aisling inhales, eyes closing, nodding soundlessly as the interview winds to a close, and the social worker prepares to leave. once jeremy bounces out to find advik, though, the social worker turns to aisling with a curious look.
" he has a spectacular memory, doesn't he? most adults struggle to remember so acutely as he does. let alone a child. "
" he's a spectacular boy. " aisling shrugs it off, and the social worker seems unconvinced, but ultimately unable to take the matter further. as they bid farewell, aisling returns inside, when she hears a thud. rushing out to the roof garden, she finds jeremy having fallen on the ground, and rushes to his side. the camera locks in, first on his wincing face, and then the slight touches of blue on his shirt sleeve. aisling gently rolls up the sleeve, soothing him gently as we realize little jeremy is bleeding... blue? " it's okay. advik, petal, will you run and fetch jeremy's kit, please? we'll patch you up, then how about some ice-cream? "
jeremy breaks into a little smile as aisling dabs away at the blue blood. then, the screen goes blank. credits roll. the episode concludes.

âYouâre a monsterâ - Jeremy finding Aisling over sb she killed. :)
meme links?? in THIS economy???
she hadn't seen it coming. that's the thing about letting your guard down. do it just for a second and the entire world will know. the worst thing about it was how easily he gained the upper hand in her brief moment of distraction. all she'd had to do was get side-tracked by a crayoned picture of the family all together. that was all. and then suddenly the door was open, and an arm was wrapped around her waist, and she was hoisted up and slammed atop the island with such force that she lost every ounce of air in her lungs.
he'd just taken out a stun gun when primal survival instincts kicked in, and her body prioritized the lack of oxygen below the need to remove the more immediate thread. her fingers caught the edge of his balaclava, and clawed upwards, briefly blinding him. he stumbled backward, just a few seconds spent trying to maintain his anonymity, and she managed to draw in a gulp of air, commanding her startled lungs to resume normal business. still, when she crawled off the island, her legs buckled and she had to grip the edge to correct herself. no advantage gained; except, when he swings down with the handle of the stun gun, she manages to dodge it, swiping a wooden chopping board from the counter and moving between blocks, dodges, and strategic strikes, smacks and swings that delay any true violence.
she's thinking she might be able to waken wyll. maybe joel's still awake. insomnia plagues them all, at times. but then, with a plummeting heart, she hears a small, soft voice, young and confused, calling out alarmingly closeby. " hello? "
the assailant looks smug for a moment. victorious. and as she sends out a pleading prayer that jeremy might go back to bed, it dawns on her that this man isn't here for her nor the portal. he's here for jeremy.
he just has a hand on his holster when she grabs hold of the board and cracks it against his arm, muscles spasming as his grip loosens on the handle. her knee lifts sharply, slamming into his crotch, and he doubles over, a hand lifting to try and... stop her? push? ask for mercy? none of it matters. she has a hand aimed at his chest, palm radiant with light, and then she yanks back, drawing his soul out and into the cradle of her hand. her other hand grasps his shoulder, and as he sinks back with a final exhale, she guides his descent gently, resting him on the tiles with a wince as her breathing begins to resume something close to normalcy.
but then everything freezes the second she hears him. jeremy, a shuddering sob fluttering through the kitchen. she's partly obscured by the island, but he's not a fool. it's obvious what's happened, and his three words condemn her far more than any prison sentence ever could.
" jeremy, baby-- " her voice is a hoarse wheeze, and she coughs, turning to try and block him from seeing the body. " i'm sorry, i-i didn't... love, please don't be scared, go-go find kate, alright? everything's going to be okay, i promise. "
Maddy was playing, which currently meant 'turning in circles as fast as she can faster and faster until she falls over'. The playground was pretty empty actually, which was why Alex crouched down now to get a look at the little boy in the legs of equipment, peeking out through the climbing frame that was gonna be great for Maddy's gross motor once she got adventurous enough to try climbing it on her own. Any day now, Alex thought. She was getting bigger and bigger every time Alex blinked.
The little boy seemed shy. Alex's hands were on her knees, sleeves of her coat pulled up halfway over her palms. She half-waved, with a flash of a smile, "I'm Alex. This is Maddy. What's your name?" The playground was really quiet, actually. And it was gonna rain soon. "Do your grown-ups live near here?"
@digitizedsoulsâ (Sage) sent: âWeâll do it together.â
Cypress was standing still and rigid, cemented down like heâd stepped there while the pavement was setting and become a permanent fixture, at the gate. Behind him, the sanctuary of home, doors closed but not locked, windows full of light and familiar voices. Ahead, the world. And so much world. So much space. So many people. Such dizzying numbers of mixed welcome and refusal. Hate and injustice loud though the middle of it. Dark despair and rage. Like... ... sinking. Or shattering. ... Scattering- -
Sage gripped Cypressâs sleeve. Cy turned. He studied the younger boy for a handful of seconds, time tick ... tick ... tick ... ing by. He, at last, offered a tense, flickering smile. It slipped and stuttered, as disused as the rest of him, but the effort was there. The reaching; bumping shoulders across that link that bound them again. If Sage could try â Sage. The notion itself a marvel. The name a revived title, no longer erased. The fingers patiently weighing on his arm an impossibility. ... ... statistical improbability, but there. Sage whoâd gone. Sage whoâd lost more than all of them and had not gotten it back. If Sage could try.
âTogether.â Cypress agreed with all due solemnity. There was a whole world out there. One they used to dream of. So ... big. So ... full. Busy. He reached to disorder Sageâs hair, undoing the work Wisty had put into combing the fine fluff into sleek shape. âCâmon.â He opened the gate. âWhatâs the name of that place you want to see again?â
@digitizedsoulsâ asked :Â [ SHOW ] Â for sender to purposefully reveal their scars for receiver to see - Jeremy to John
scars . blake
accepting
Of all the scars of his that Jeremy could have seen, he was glad it was just the little one on his knee that heâd happened upon. The excitement of the kid as he pulled up his pant leg to show off their âmatchingâ scrapes was nothing short of adorable. John couldnât help but smile as he knelt and listened to him.
âYeah, we do match, donât we?â He chuckled. âYou know how I got this?â He sat crisscross on the floor, settling in a bit. âI donât suppose you ever play baseball? The greatest game of all time?â

â Is it okay if i â sit here? â - Hawthorne (Cyberlife Experimentation AU)
Breathe in.Â
RK200 felt something shift uncomfortably. He blinked, to cover the way it hurt.
Breathe out.
The air stumbled, coming out quicker than he would have liked, in a hurry.Â
The LED at his temple flickered yellow, and though he couldnât see it, heâd come to know when and how and why it changed, and to watch for the glow of it, on any surface reflective enough.Â
He concentrated on peeling at the paint on the commissary table until his LED calmed to blue. He hadnât earned any meals today, but his stomach was a dull ache beside the way his ribs felt. The others didnât sit with him anymore. He would have assumed theyâd been instructed not to, if they hadnât looked at him like an ugly stain in an otherwise sterile environment. He didnât need (wasnât allowed) to ask what theyâd been told. Heâd heard it, from Amandaâs lips (and felt it-... felt it-)Â
He wasnât good. Not anymore.
RK200 looked up, sharp, at the voice of the other boy. He blinked, LED circling blue and flickering. It dipped yellow. âYeah-... yes, of course.â He gestured with a hand, to the spot opposite of him. The mild surprise in his mismatched eyes was quickly gone. He tried an ever-so-slight movement of the corner of his lips, â... Is it good, today?â He asked, about the food the other boy had brought with him. It was the midday meal, after all. âIf thereâs enough, the applesauce is actually pretty good.â He offered.
He paused a moment, âIâm-... called RK200, by the way.â He greeted, with what was unmistakably a quiet smile.Â
Cold was what he felt; was the red flag in his mind that something wasnât right. Most of his dreams were simply memories, often of labs and tests, though occasionally newer experiences would creep their way in.
This time was the lab, and as he stood in his booth, hooked up for whatever the tests were of the day, he felt the odd, chilling wrongness in his limbs: so strange that he didnât even notice it at first until he felt the need to flex his hand and realized it wouldnât move.Â
His eyes flicked open, but he couldnât move his head to look down, his stare fixed out towards the suddenly empty room, and the cold kept creeping up.
He tried to lift his arm next, to move it into his view, if he couldnât move his view to his arm, but this didnât seem to work either. If anything, his limbs felt even heavier, and he wondered if something had gone wrong, as the cold kept creeping up.
He was trying again and again to open his mouth, to call and shout for someone to come back to the lab, to fix whatever was happening, as he felt the cold creeping into his torso. It needled towards his thirium pump from below as the cold of his arms began needling up his throat like icy daggers, even as he knew he shouldnât be feeling anything like this pain and fear, and-
It was then that something dragged his awareness up and out as his eyes slammed open. It took a few moments, to realize he was awake, and a few more moments for a shuddering breath to be drawn that allowed him to relax enough to move. First his hands, then lifting his arms up to look, to make sure he was moving, and then he put a hand to his chest, remembering the needling cold that had been so close. He still felt cold, but it was different now, and there was something like warmth starting to spread back out as relief.
Patch turned to Jeremy, pausing for a moment as if to remember how to speak, or if he was going to be able to, before he attempted to give the child a tired smile. âIâm sorry, was I bothering you?â
âMy name is Connor. Iâm the android sent by CyberLife. For convenience's sake, many in the department have taken to calling me 'Sixty' to separate me from the other RK900 model. I am here to assist you.â - Connor-60 -- @digitizedsoulsâ
Hana was really excited to get an android partner for her new case. When Sixty appeared next to her desk that morning, Hana greeted him with a smile. âNice to meet you, Sixty! Iâm happy we will be working together.â She turned to her terminal. âIâll send you the information I have so far on the case so you can review it.âÂ
