@moonbeammuses // đ- Desperate - Dark!Billy to Steve // he still has no idea they're soulmates- this messed me up ;w;
âIs⌠is that really you in there, Billy?â
It didnât make any sense. How was he here, now? Was this really just Billy? And why did he look like that? The look on his face was desperate, aching⌠and Steve didnât understand. Billy stepped forward; once, twice, and Steve matched it, backing up right up until heâd stumbled back against a wall.
Billy moved, and Steve sucked in a sharp breath as he was pinned, fear flashing through him as he remembered Dischordâs painful touch. It didnât hurt, this time. It was firm, it was forceful, but it wasn't painful. This was his Billy. Though whether or not he was alone, he wasn't sure. Steve would have been more afraid, if not for the intense desperation he saw in those seaside eyes.
He couldn't look away, caught by those eyes far more than the hands on him. Billy pressed close, eyes dropping to Steveâs mouth, and the brunet barely had time for a breath before- âBill-? Mmm!â -Cupidâs bow lips, softer than they had any right to be pressed against his own, and Steve felt a rush go through him from head-to-toe.
Steve didnât understand. Things with Billy had never been much better than rocky, even at their best. Heâd felt the beginnings of friendship before, when he was helping care for him. Heâd missed one call, but it had been the one that mattered most, and now Dischord was⌠still there, so, shouldnât he hate him? He should be yelling or hitting him or something, notâŚ
Not moving his lips over Steve's, drawing him into the most electrifying first kiss heâd ever had. Billyâs tongue slipped in the moment there was opportunity, and Steve found himself caught and lead into an even deeper, more passionate kiss.
It felt incredible. Like seeing fireworks for the first time, or the first press inside of a new partner. At some point, his hands ended up around Billyâs shoulders, his fingers in blond curls; his own tongue and lips matching Billyâs unexpected fervor.
He shouldnât want this. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he can hear his fatherâs bigotry, see his motherâs disgust⌠but itâs so low on his list of priorities at the moment, he canât bring himself to freak out. What was happening with Billy? Where was Dischord? How the fuck did he know just how to make his knees so weak? ⌠and...
... Why was he kissing him?
All questions he intended to ask as he tapped, making a small sound to show he needed air. The moment he could, he took a deep breath in and out, looking through hazy eyes. His cheeks flushed and his lips parted as he caught his breath, he looked between Billyâs eyes. âWh⌠why?â he croaked, voice rough with undeniable (though confused) arousal.

u should send in "lights, cameras, action!" so i can tell you how ur muse would be introduced in their debut scene in aisling's tv show/movie series (i.e. the build-up, the hints, the music, the little easter eggs) (even if you've already sent it in on the old blog, and even if we haven't interacted yet!) ( ALWAYS ACCEPTING! )
S1 E18: LEANBH. ( TRANS: CHILD. )
this episode is brought to us by toy stores! which toy store, you ask? all of them and none of them simultaneously, idk, but they're ALL promoting a 20% discount on all electronic toys bc we're just that powerful now. it's also worth mentioning at this point that jeremy has been appearing in previous episodes, but this is the jeremy-centric episode, yk? like he's the star this time. originally he's been present at the dinner table, watching television with his siblings, doing homework with advik, making cakes with stanley, but almost in the background, yk? very clearly a beloved member of the family, but he hasn't been at the front before now.
so we're approaching friday night, fans are begging for a crumb of information bc wdym "child", aisling has so many kids, wdYM??? and the only clue they get is a coy suggestion to play dbh bc that's what we have to do here, we're a community of artists, we're lifting and rising together.
friday night rolls around. toy sales are sky-rocketing. the uptick in people playing dbh is astronomical. people sit around the television, hit play and the episode airs.
the episode is shot primarily from jeremy's perspective. the opening scene is seen through the mirror in his room, as aisling kneels in front of him and helps him with his tie, pausing regularly to let him look in the mirror and approve of the process. the lighting is bright and warm, a sunny afternoon cast through the blinds as we see jeremy regularly crane his neck to see outside the window, until aisling gently holds his shoulders. " she said 2:30PM. that's what she said. what if she thinks i'm bad, for not knowing how to tie my tie? what if she says i'm defe-- "
" she won't. hey. she won't say anything. you know, grandpa richard still wears the same tie that pop-pop stanley tied on their wedding day? i don't hear many people calling him bad, do you? come on. you have nothing to worry about. you're amazing, and she knows that. she just wants to make sure i can handle it. "
a tense smile is exchanged, and then the camera cuts; at jeremy's height, we watch as aisling holds his hand and leads him to the front door, where the frosted glass blurs the face of the woman outside. jeremy greets her politely, but is visibly nervous as they retire to the living room, noticed by the social worker as she leans forward with a small smile. " jeremy, dear, i want you to understand something. i'm here to make sure you and your foster mom are a good match. okay? and if it all goes well, then you'll officially be adopted. but if i have any concerns, it just means we'll have another visit with one of my colleagues. okay? all you have to do is tell me the truth. "
the camera shifts back to aisling and jeremy. jeremy looks relieved at the clear instructions. aisling looks pleasantly panicked, but gives jeremy a gentle squeeze of the hand before taking her seat and giving him some space. " okay. here's the truth. "
we enter a beautiful montage. it's a radiant, vibrant thing of pure child-like joy. jeremy discusses meeting aisling in the park, and how excited he was to have a mother again. we see him sitting on a swing as aisling pushes him, then on a picnic blanket as they eat sandwiches together. we see him getting tucked into bed by aisling, a little night light in the shape of a star on the wall. we see him waking up, heading out to the kitchen, and giggling as he helps make the pancake batter, cheering when he tosses a pancake just right, and tucking into a thick stack. one might argue that the memories are almost too bright, too peachy, too idyllic. but jeremy remains loyal to this unwavering depiction of his time in the apartment. aisling looks stunned, and the social worker seems pleased with these memories. but then she asks a question that plunges the scene into a tense, jarring silence. " and do you feel safe here, jeremy? "
jeremy gazes at the social worker for a moment, hands clasped together in his lap. aisling is seen leaning forward a fraction of an inch, the tension excruciatingly clear. we catch a snatched glimpse of a memory. aisling on the ground, a dead man on the tiles, blood on her hands as she pushes herself to her knees, coughing soundlessly. the camera shakes; the camera is in fact jeremy's perspective, as seen when we get a new angle, jeremy staring frantically at aisling as she tries to see if he's hurt. " baby, did he hurt you? jeremy, did he-- "
" you're a monster! "
the memory shatters, jeremy's cry fading away as aisling stares straight ahead, fingertips whitening against the arms of the armchair. we hear jeremy speak up. " i know my mother would do anything to keep me safe. " the relief is palpable; aisling inhales, eyes closing, nodding soundlessly as the interview winds to a close, and the social worker prepares to leave. once jeremy bounces out to find advik, though, the social worker turns to aisling with a curious look.
" he has a spectacular memory, doesn't he? most adults struggle to remember so acutely as he does. let alone a child. "
" he's a spectacular boy. " aisling shrugs it off, and the social worker seems unconvinced, but ultimately unable to take the matter further. as they bid farewell, aisling returns inside, when she hears a thud. rushing out to the roof garden, she finds jeremy having fallen on the ground, and rushes to his side. the camera locks in, first on his wincing face, and then the slight touches of blue on his shirt sleeve. aisling gently rolls up the sleeve, soothing him gently as we realize little jeremy is bleeding... blue? " it's okay. advik, petal, will you run and fetch jeremy's kit, please? we'll patch you up, then how about some ice-cream? "
jeremy breaks into a little smile as aisling dabs away at the blue blood. then, the screen goes blank. credits roll. the episode concludes.
In honor of SPOTIFY WRAPPED, send me a number 1-100 and Iâll write you a starter based on the song.
spotify wrapped - 66 forrrrr mona and martin?
I wouldâ˛ve stayed at home / 'Cause I was doing better alone / But when you said hello / I knew that was the end of it all / I shouldâ˛ve stayed at home / 'Cause now there ainâ˛t no letting you go / Am I falling in love with the one that could break my heart?
ââŚI should have stayed.â Her voice was quieter than usual. More somber. The others were asleep, but Martin was awake. Sat next to herâa bit of space between them, because Mona couldnât bring herself to curl up against him like she normally wouldâkeeping watch.
MonaâŚMona couldnât sleep. Not for a few days, now. Every time she tried, her mind just spun in circles. Around and around, the same thought over and over again, finally spoken aloud:
âI should have stayed at Blackwing.â
Mr. Riggins had been right about that. Sheâd been so surprised to see him, the other day, after wandering off on her own. Wasnât sure how exactly heâd found her, how he knew she was travelling with the Rowdy 3. But he had, and he did, and heâd said he only wanted to talk. There were no scary men with guns with him, so she didnât run or turn into a canon or an airplane or a lion. Sheâd stayed and listened.
Heâd made a lot of good points, much to her dismay. Mona was dangerous. People around Mona got hurt. Blackwing was looking for Mona, and the others would be in danger, if she stayed with them. If soldiers with big guns came to take her back, the boys would fight back. They would get hurt. They might get killed.
Her fault, all her fault, always her fault.
Martin, Cross, Gripps, and Vogel had all been furious when theyâd found the two of them, tears in Monaâs eyes. She didnât know what happened to Mr. Rigginsâsheâd let Vogel usher her back to the van, silent and upset and hugging herself tightly. Sheâd turned into the stress toy as soon as they made it there and hadnât turned back for days. Had only been human again for a couple hours, now. The entire time spent quiet and thinking hard.
From the moment theyâd met, from the moment Martin said âhelloâ, thatâd been the end of it all, for her. Martin was hers. The others were, too, but it was different with them. She wasnât in love with themâor, at least, falling in love. Because, after extensive conversations with Amanda, Mona was fairly certain thatâs what this was.
She was falling in love with Martin, and if she stayed with him and the other Rowdys, they would all get hurt. Because of her. Martin would get hurt, and it would be all her fault.
âWhere she stops...â - either from Tony if it works for him (@battcries-included) or from like. idk Erik or something lol. follow the muse when you spin the wheel
Send me âWhere she stops...â for a starter using the whump wheelÂ
Ally couldn't remember what happened earlier that morning. She knew she went for her morning flight per usual. She remembered the vague sounds of someone yelling. She remembered the cool air rushing through her hair as she dove down to help. And then...nothing. She didn't remember flying back to the Tower. She walked through the living room, to the elevator, and clicked the floor to Tony's lab.
It was an odd sensation, moving and doing and walking with no real control over her own body. It was like she was in the backseat of a car watching Happy drive. She made it into Tony's lab, and, of course, he was sitting there. Get an arc reactor. Bring it to me.
"Hey, Tony," she said, her usual sing-song voice ringing flat. "What are you working on?" Distract anyone in your way. Only engage in combat if you have to.
âJames!â Arioch cried out the name as he appeared int he foyer and fell, knees hitting the floor. Red and gold spilled from his chest, his neck.
He would see him. Would see those eyes again if it was in fact the last thing he did.
âJames.â
Dizzy, that was the word for the sensation he felt. The floor was perfectly level, he knew, yet it may as well have been the waves of a storming sea for how it moved under his hands and knees, trying to take him to the ground.
Ah. There he was.
Stained hands reached, pulled Jim into an embrace, heedless of the blood. âHad to- Had to see you-â He leaned back enough to look up at those eyes he so loved. Of course they were torn with worry. But Arioch smiled at the sight of him all the same.
It was past 3 am and Jim was still working, his bare feet up on the coffee table and his laptop in his lap, tapping as if forgetting that sleep was a thing and so far past the point of being tired that he couldn't sleep anymore. He buried himself in work because he had the most horrible feeling all day and he didn't want to think about it or sleep because lately, his dreams had him wake up screaming and damp with sweat. And he hated it. He hated that now, not even in his sleep he could not see him anymore, at least not in any pleasant way.
When he heard his name, his head snapped to that direction and was on his feet before he could register what was happening, the laptop dropping to the floor and he almost ran to him, dropping to his knees as he caught the angel in his fall. "No, no, no, no..." he kept mumbling as he cupped his head in his hands, their bodies pressed together and Jim not caring for the blood soaking into his white shirt and suit pants and he weaped a pained moan when Arioch's arms embraced him and clung to him, his nails digging into the angel's clothes with a desperation that he had never felt before but gave him the space to see him if Arioch needed it.
Jim couldn't bare their parting for too long and pressed their lips together. He didn't want to hear that resigned voice anymore. It made him so angry that he'd tear the universe apart with his bare hands if he could, tears falling from his eyes when he shut them tight, and when he released the pressure against the angel's lips, Jim held him close, their foreheads pressed together and through the tears he could see only his eyes, losing their light. He raged at the whole of creation in his silent rage and whispered, "What can I do? I'm not sayin goodbye to you. Not now, not ever," he sneered through his uneven, clenched teeth, his fingers tightening into fists into Arioch's hair "Tell meeeee!" he screamed, demanding an answer, an action, anything. "I would do anything for you, please tell me what you need," he added in a pained but soft voice.

@moonbeammusesâ sent: đ - for kisses from Mom âĄ
The great thing, heâs realizing, about robots, is that theyâre not able to tell how gross he is. She canât smell the vomit lingering in his mouth and clinging to his sweat-drenched clothes. She canât feel the cool beady sweat on his forehead, or if she can, she pays it no mind. Itâs flattering, almost. Sure, Diego can fetch him a bucket or provide the occasional shoulder to lean on for Klaus to shuffle his way to the bathroom, but Grace always has always made Klaus feel like a person, which is charmingly ironic, if he thinks about it for too long.Â
Heâs shivering so goddamn hard it HURTS, like if he listens closely he might hear his bones wail in protest against the strain from his muscles. One day at a time, he repeats to himself with teeth-gritting determination. Youâre okay, Klaus. Youâre okay. Youâre okay.
The weight of his motherâs form on the edge of the bed rouses him from the dopesick stupor and he inhales a quick breath past cracked lips as a pair of arms wrap themselves around him andâ and she kisses his forehead just like she used to. Itâs just like he remembered, soft and sweet. It feels...pure. This is what it must feel like, he thinks to himself, to be cleansed of sin. No need for holy water or bibles in the hallowed sacrament of a motherâs love.
Something breaks in him as she pulls away; flood of catharsis that leaves him sobbing in her arms. When was the last time he was blessed with such unconditional kindness? When was the last time anyone had touched him with such unbearable tenderness? He canât remember.Â
âYeah, thanks mom.â He sniffles into her shoulder. âIâm okay. Iâm gonna...Iâm gonna get better for real this time.â
@moonbeammusesâ asked :Â âi just want to feel something.â - Miriam to Roderick (from a smut meme you didnt reblog)
Quiet held in the air between them at her words. Roderickâs dark eyes looked between Miriamâs. She was serious. He could see it in the way her body had tensed as he stopped her from stripping, the way her sapphire eyes flashed, full of unspoken things. If she left here with that look in her eye, he didnât want to think of what might follow.
His grasp on her wrist loosened, itâs firmness fading as he considered her. He didnât know what had led to this for her. He had known something was up when her reaction to seeing his scar-littered body was so... A lovely woman like her? There was no way she would look at him the way sheâd been looking without a reason. So when sheâd begun to strip before him, heâd moved without a thought to stop her.
Ah, he thought as he released her wrist, moving to cup her cheek instead. She wants to escape. Heâd played the role before, though not in a long time. âMiss Miriam, if that is what you truly want from me...â he began, dropping his shirt to the side, pulling Miriam closer by her waist. âThan I am yours, tonight.â
